Let's say for arguments stake Sisu come out and announce that land has been secured. They let it be known the location and then they ask fans for their views. The ground is 6 miles away.

The majority of fans say they will not attend once it is built and don't support the location selected.

What would Sisu do? What would they do if the fans opposed the location of the new stadium? Seems logical that it has been really difficult to secure any loaction (that's if of course they have indeed been looking).

Just wonder what our owners would do if they knew they were going to lose thousands and thousands more supporters because of the location not backed by the City faithful?

Would then then blame the fans? Look for another location? Focus on the Ricoh? Fook off? Or will they just say 'here's the location, take it or leave it?'

:thinking about:

The current location is not "backed by the City faithful" is it?

Isn't it?

All I hear is that people aren't happy about the Wasps logos and that the seats may change colour. If it stayed as it was with City there permanently then it would be backed.

The location isn't the issue with the Ricoh, it's the revenues and Wasps and City being demoted to a bit player.

I think within a few months a lot of fans will want the club to move if its at all possible.

It's nothing to do with Wasps at all. People were staying away long before Wasps came along. If City were tearing the league apart and SISU looked like they were investing in the team, no one would care that Wasps were here too, they'd turn up and watch the Sky Blues.

It's not the location, it's due to supporters NOT backing SISU.
Coventry City needs new owners.

SISU would have to invest heavily - something that they have proven that they don't want to do since their original foolhardy lump sum. Hence I think that they should be very careful before committing, especially after the Sixfields fiasco. Hence I think that they would want to ask fans and only proceed if they thought that they would get significant numbers. Having said that, they don't seem to have been acting in a logical way so far - arrogance mixed with incompetence is my take. Hence if (massive if) they ever did press ahead it could well be without any material consultation which could backfire on them again. Who could they sue then?

OH they are protesting are they? sat on their fat arses over Christmas instead of supporting the team . THATS a protest is it? (oh and swiftly forgotten when some JPT or FA cup glory opportunity comes around)

By that measure, those who attend the Ricoh are therefore scabs who support SISU then?

SISU would go ahead and build it without consulting the fan base because the fan base would be super excited at SISU announcing Fisher Fantasy land, with its ultra expansive 12,000 seater model with retractable roof and dortmund style 5,000 wall.

They have took the piss out this fan base long enough to even take 2 seconds to think about the fan base and what they would think, were like muppets on a string to them.

Leeds United are planning a protest against the FL for the way they have handled their football club, I bet its a lot stronger than the shambles we have ever done.

What are you talking about? I am talking about people approving the location of the ground. I am not talking about people not going up.

Do you seriously think a lot of people don't go up because of where the Ricoh is located?

Correct.
Tim and Co have been told on many occasions if you want the heat taken off you if you want the fans on your side give them something to shout about.
Last season, the team were playing good football and looking like they could push for top six, if it hadn't have been we were playing in Sixfields they would have had crowds in excess of 10,000 away crowds were already good.
That would have given them the push they needed to succeed, but all we heard about was sixfields court cases whose fault it was etc etc now fans are leaving in droves most will never come back.

Move out of the City and there will be an a mass desertion most of these fans will never return ether.
where are the new generation of fans going to be found, in some village somewhere in backwater Warwickshire?

Sorry but that will be the Death of our club as we knew it.

You are not understanding what I am saying Speedies. I am talking about the location of where the Ricoh is situated. That is not an issue for 99.9% of fans. That's the point I am making. Nowt to do with Wasps.

I am just saying people are only moaning now about the location because we have been sidelined.

I think it depends fir me where the six miles is. If it was where there is already a team like Leamington, Nuneaton, Bedworth then no. If it was say Kenilworth past the uni, then probably yes. Of douse I feel cov should be in cov, so should really be a straight yes/no option but I think if it is not impeding then I would be more comfortable.

I just said 6 miles, Rob. I just plucked a figure. The mileage isn't the issue I am alluding to.

To get things back on topic, if the location for the new stadium was announced (wherever that may be) and fans didn't back the move and said they wouldn't attend, what would our owners do?

Excuse me ? I was actually at all the demonstrations? so get the facts right before making accusations that are complete bollocks, however, I strongly disagree how the demonstrations were handled and were soft as shit, my opinion like everyone is entitled to one.

I also said on here that the council needed a demonstration brought against them as they was going to fuck the club over, I was however laughed out of town.... Now look what happened.

Well if it was genuine they would do what they wanted and not consult us, but they have zero intention of doing anything. I doubt waggot and fisher k ow that fir sure, they could be given instructions to look, but what possible reason to invest so much in a declining club. I've given up trying to work out what the strategy or end game is. I think in their mind they have written off what we are worth, will keep it ticking over small at breakeven and just keep burying bad debts onto us when they need to.

That is because they are in a higher division and their planned demonstration ( which will take the piss out of anything we tried id imagine) will be towards the FL not their owner.

That was a council demonstration with 10 people Nick carried out a couple hours before kick off when the majority would of been coming out of work or getting ready to go up the ground, ridiculous and poorly planned, or was it the lunch time council house one with 15 people in attendance because again a time changed.

SISU should try and gage the fans opinions on different locations before committing finance to any location.

They should also call out the council by publicly asking the council for land within Coventry that they would grant planning permission on.

That way we will all know a move out if Coventry is because it us the only option. Not revenge on the CCC.

Also regarding getting the fans opinions on different locations. They will know what they are up against. They can start a bit if PR if their own and win us over before making a mistake that would kill the club

No it isn't. First mention of Wasps was just after the Yeovil game. At that point we had just had gates of 27k and 11k. Not under 10k.
