Off the top of my head it couldn't be to the south of the nec as there's work going on there for the new airport runway. Behind the nec is the m6 and an industrial estate(i think) and to the right of the m42 is all greenbelt land that separates us from that silly accent.

Well the new hs2 station is going in just to the right of the M42, so I imagine their will be more greenbelt development around it.

Why would anyone follow these people to any new stadium outside the city knowing that the club doesn't own it and pays rent to play there, when the same deal is within the city boundries... If you disagree with the CCC and ACL stance then whats the diference, this is not about improving the club or taking it forward, its about Sisu having an asset for themselves other than a debt for the Club..

You have to split the two parts up in this case they dont care about the club or its fans, but need them both to reach and end goal not to improve or progress but to restructure and recoup monies invested..Most if not all owners do this the other way round they try to protect and entice supporters to spend more and bring new costomers in to improve the playing side and club.. These people have ruined alot of connections and costomers trust to put themselves in a position to try and regain an investment portfollio that they no longer need but cant get rid of without a massive loss...

sisu wanted the ricoh for next to nothing or for free, thats not going to happen...new stadium? thats not going to happen either, sisu will be a busted flush if they took that route, they are a shameless faceless entity..

I think the OP is referring to information he has received in relation to a break down in talks between Ann Lucas and Joy Seppala. That's new information i believe.

Gen, he reported this...

Sorry, miss understood the question.
I did ask but they don't know. Just said SP told the players today that we will not be returning to the Ricoh and building the new stadium.
That's all I know.

So with telling a load of players, who will doubtless tell their friends and family, I'd assume you'd get something leaked to the press. Cue another "scoop" by Sir Les perhaps.

Stonehenge: no one knows what it was built for and has been dormant for years.
Porton Down: full of toxic ideas and very secretive ideal for SISU.
Rutland: the only county that lacks a top flight football Team?

Just thinking and drinking!

If someone at the club has genuinely said this aren't they being a bit presumptuous?

A stadium is getting built when finances are in place and planning permission granted.

Until then its still only an idea.

So he wasn't there when "SP told the players today that we will not be returning to the Ricoh and building the new stadium", or should we take that with a pinch of salt?

I dont think dont think SP has any idea about a new stadium being built, and i dont think it has been mentioned to the players.
My view not a rumour.

V, they are building a major HS2 station round there. I think a likely site is somewhere in the SE corner of the triangle formed by the M42, A45 & A452.

I wouldn't be surprised if that stupid cow of an owner has seen the A45 is the Coventry Road so she thinks its more or less Coventry.

Yes i see where you mean, ron put something on here a couple of pages down. For some reason i thought the hs2 station was further to the south or west.

So is that Solihull council or Birmingham council that they'd have to seek permission off?

Is this HS2 thing still going ahead? It seems like they're spending the equivalent of an entire small country's GDP in order to get to London 20 minutes quicker.

Otium are blessed with a choice of at least 4 possible locations in their on going quest for a new site.

Based on the longevity of the search, they intend, in fact to create a new soap opera and are thinking of calling it.

Another 9 pages of speculation about a stadium that was never more than an idle threat and as a realistic commercial proposition has ZERO credibility.

Bottom line remains the same as it has been since SISU took us to Sixfields:

Either CCFC return to the Ricoh as tenants (SISU can't afford full market freehold value) or the club folds completely.

Tragic but true.

True enough, until a site is purchased & planning permission granted then a new stadium is nothing more than a statement by Tim Fisher.. and we all know how much that is worth.

No way they will build here. Got be one of the most expensive sites they could look at with the HS2 proposal/motorway proximity/NEC/Airport etc . This is a prime commercial site. SISU don't do "expensive". They couldn't even pay to mend the mower at Alan Higgs.

New Stadium confirmed? A rumour is not confirmation.

Adds a bit of fun though.

Liking the idea of Gaydon though. Next to the M40, people can pop in the Heritage Motor Centre before a game, Harbury's got a folk club for pre-match entertainment...

There's a landfill site not far from the nec, maybe sisu will build arena timmy on that.

Both are full of shit.

And when there's a stuffing at 'home' the fans can pop over to Burton Dassett hills for a spot of meditation.

+1

When you read stuff like this as a Coventry City fan, your emotions get in the way and cloud what is blindingly obvious to a neutral. No stadium will e.v.e.r be built. SISU can identify as many plots of land as they wish (to put the frighteners on you) and they can get outlined planning permission for as many bestest everest stadiums as they like. The small matter of acquiring 30/40/50 £million and spending it with investor guarantees (on a fractured club) remains an insurmountable problem.

pretty sure that land has already been earmarked for Birmingham airport runway 2.

then again sh1tsu will probably tie Birmingham airports owners in litigation until the government concedes that CCFC playing outside of their city is more important than the future air infrastructure and long term development off the country.
