TM has said that he would ideally want 4 or 5 new players in; whether that will happen or not is another matter. Which players would you realistically want to see come in?

Joe Murphy if he still out of contract
McLeod if he is still available
Samuels if he will drop down again
Two young lightening loanees

Samuel scored yesterday for Reading annoyingly. As far as people coming in, Lameiras has to be given a chance, and then loans somebody similar to that Swift lad from Chelsea who was at Swindon last year. Very, very classy.

Agree with Joe Murphy, although isn't he on trial at Bradford?

McLeod is certainly proven in this league and with hopefully better service than he receives at Crawley could score plenty. Seems that the big one for everyone is Samuel. Does anyone know if there was any substance to the Michael Jacobs rumour, or just nonsense? Still think another centre half could come in useful since Martin is a liability and Willis seems to be solid at both CB and RB, but hasn't nailed down a preferred position yet.

In Mowbray's interview, he said that Steve Clarke has been very impressed with Samuel and unless they sign another few strikers, he'll be in and around their first team this year so he isn't expecting him to join.

Messi, Ronaldo, Bale and I'd probably look at bringing Zidane and Scholes out of retirement to sit and control the midfield ala Pirlo of late.

Positive comment by Andy Turner

Mowbray has irons in the fire and will, without doubt, draft in a permanent striker as well as a couple of Premier League loans which will hopefully transform the sharp

I would like to see another two to three signings and then about 3 long term loans.

But I would rather wait for quality rather than a repeat of the Bournmouth loans.

Best and McLeod up front with eagles and maguire wingers and Murphy in goal. Job done.

If webcam no serious injuries all season we may get 6th.

However sign that lot get an injury to two or possibly one of them we are screwed.

Was 8-9 out in the summer?

I can see him signing 3-4 players before Wigan 2 strikers 2 wingers and 3-4 loan players before the loan window shuts to give us more depth

there will be less than 8 or 9 coming in as he is looking for quality not quantity. Stokes was on the books already and doubt his contract has changed much. So having signed Ricketts and Vincelot I can see a budget for about 3 more, 4 if he lets Swanson go. Then it will be about 3 on loan.

Now that would be a team to be reckoned with in this league!

Up to today no new players have been taken round the pitch or changing rooms at the Ricoh by TM does this mean we are not close to a signing.

I'd expect Lameiras to sign soon. I would hope to see at least anotger 2 or 3 on top of that before the first game. Bear minimum we need at least 1 striker.

out of the 8-9 players that were released, one was al bangura, never played so didnt really count, one was pugh was basically out injured all season, doesnt count in my book. In fact out of the entire list only Nouble and Barton played really. Jackson was no where to be seen, miller was sent out on loan. I dont think because we let 8-9 go we need as many as some make out!

Unfortunately you're forgetting Samuel, Proschwitz, Pennington and ward, and to a less extent Odelusi who although loans were all in and around the first 11.

And alsopp, and I know we had two keepers but we need an experienced keeper in and let Reece-cook go to Nuneaton again.

Still a bit early for the quality loan signings.
