So far then we have brought in:

Jim O'Brien
Danny Swanson

Who else would you like to see get brought into the Club?

Not too bothered who we bring in. It is more important on what they can do.

We are going to start the season without three players that scored most of our goals last season. So we have brought in two players that don't exactly score many goals. O'Brien has scored 12 goals in his career so far. I would hope for a little better off a defender, but he is said to be a winger. I just want to see players coming in that can score goals. And we also need to sort our defence out.

There is a striker we could have next season that wouldn't cost us a fee. He has lots of pace, is strong and scored over 20 goals last season. Can't see Wilson staying though

Andy Geggan - Dunfirmline Athletic - Saw him play towards the end of last season and was very impressed with him, would really do a great job in the centre of the park.
Danny Grainger - Dunfirmline Athletic - Left back, would be a great replacement for Adams, again saw him play towards end of last season. Got forward well but a strong lad and did his duties well at the back.
Sam Winnall - Scunthorpe United - 23 goals last term

O'Brian has a goal to games ratio similar to Tommy Hutchison.

It isn't stupid - astute believes his goal record for a winger is poor - I don't agree.

Some freebies -

GK - Jamie Ashdown (30) to compete with Burge - Was at Leeds last season.

Midfield - Ambrose released by Birmingham would not need to relocate and only 30,
Paul Green ex Derby
Brian Stock
Nathan Doyle
James Bailey

Strikers - The young lad from chelsea who was at Walsall last season now a free I believe, then you have the likes of earnshaw, Ismael Miller who has offers from league 1 and championship clubs, David Goodwillie would be a great signing or Will Hoskins who is a free.

All of these may be high wage factor but these are probably dream names who we could go for if our owners where ambitious enough to use the 3M on the playing squad... unfortunately they most likely will not.

The modern winger scores a hell of a lot more goals than the wingers of old. So it's not much of a comparison.
The game has changed. Although I'm not too disappointed with his goal scoring record myself.

Had offers from other clubs, choose us, maybe pressley convinced him... or been told something we don't know as he was Barnsleys best player.

Doesn't Messi set up on the right wing for Barcelona? Seeing as we are into stupid comparisons.

12 goals in 214 games.......just over 2 goals a season. And you say that isn't a poor return?

Coventry resident Bournemouth fan here. Rumours that part of any Wilson package could be Josh McQuoid coming your way. Josh was on loan at the Posh towards the end of last season. Apart from anything else I would have thought that wages might be an issue but if he comes and can recover his form from a couple of seasons ago he just might score goals.

I agree with Grendal his record is not poor it is dreadful a goal every 14 games is what a defender should be getting.

Are you doing a grendel and making him sound better than he is? He is averaging a goal every 18 games. And that is from an attacking player. I would like to see that minimum from a defender.

It isn't totally stupid, but Grendel said it, so if you take the piss you'll get a few internet slaps on the back and a couple of likes.

dunno, but by judging by the 2 so far, the scouting network extends as far as...

"who did well against us last season and is on a free!"

In my opinion it was a stupid comparison. Two totally different wingers playing in different times. Or do you think it was an accurate comparison?

For me it would have been better to use a more modern comparison and a similar winger in similar leagues. Say Baker for instance but he scored 10 goals last season alone compared to this new players 12 all career, or even Moussa who scored 14 last season . But then if Grendel had of used this comparison it would make this new player look mediocre at best and that isn't what he was gong for, is it.
