You'd only need your hero Richardson to return for a full set.

With Strachan or Andy Thorn as manager please.

Good signing. Some good competition for places at the back this season, let's hope it improves things.

First team so far?

Allsop
Clarke Webster Johnson Pugh
O'Brien Fleck Thomas Swanson
Miller Coulibaly

Needs another couple of strikers and a proper central midfielder to partner Fleck and that's not looking too bad. Still waiting on the all important strike partnership though.

Edit: Second string isn't looking too shabby either. Assuming Thomas, Miller and Coulibaly drop out of the first team when we make signings:

Burge
Phillips Seaborne Willis Haynes
Baker Lawton C. Thomas Coulibaly
G. Thomas Miller

Edit 2: Is Barton still here?

Isn't Pugh a mdfielder naturally? Seems strange to have brought him in to play left back, especially when Sheffield Wednesday fans have already said that Johnson's best position is left back

Could be down to age. Also, he may be expected to get forward aplenty, so a shift from left midfield to left/wing back makes sense. Isn't Reda Johnson more of a centre half anyway? Could be wrong on that though.

It's depressing to hear that these players I still see in my mind as youth prospects are in their 30s. Leon Osman should only be about 23 by now.

Wood played more games for us than any other club he played for.

I remember being excited we were signing Eddie Johnson until I found it wasn't the US national team forward.

In hindsight both were dogshit anyway.

Same! In my mind Michael Owen's only just scored that debut goal against Wimbledon!
