I don’t know what that means exactly. It doesn’t point to him being necessarily unfit, more his body being too fragile to cope. That was my interpretation.

He wasn't bought to go straight into the 1st team so I don't see the problem with him developing slowly this season with a view to challenging for a 1st team place next season. We signed him because he is a cheap option with little downside if it doesn't work out, so lets be a bit patient and see how things pan out in due course.
