Pretty sure Matondo was a target because he can play on either wing.That's fair enough but you've got to think long term and we already have 2 top players in that position. Getting another in just makes the squad even more unbalanced when everyone is fit and at the moment we are performing better in his unfavoured formation. Fair enough if he can play more than one position but people said that of EMC.
Wright was apparently telling people he would be back early Feb. We just bring in this guy and MvE gets injured against Leeds we have 3 left wingers, no right back. What if Tats gets injured, CM, LB, CB? There are loads of places I would look first.

Since Lampard has taken over, the defence has generally improved.Frank can only play his beloved wingers if he acquires a CDM and a better central defender to play alongside Kitching. If we go two at the back we are going to struggle. We went through this with Robins in League 1 and earlier this season.
