#CCFC manager Steven Pressley has confirmed that the club will be active on #deadlineday today... http://bit.ly/1EzSSQO #PUSB

Actually, I think that's a typo he's saying he will be active today. After he's mowed the lawn he has to fix that leaky tap in the kitchen.

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has revealed that the Sky Blues will be active on January transfer deadline day.

City have already brought in Frank Nouble, Aaron Martin, Jamie Jones, Dominic Samuel and Sanmi Odelusi so far in this window, but Pressley hopes to add more new faces to the squad before 11pm tonight.

"We're looking at pursuing a few more deals today before the window shuts," Pressley said.

"We'd like another attacking threat, someone else with great speed and potentially another midfield player.

"We're hoping to confirm a few things today."

Although Deadline Day is exciting as it draws a conclusion, it really is ridiculous that clubs leave it right up to the last minute.

I'm not sure if Nouble would bother tweeting about that as it would mean he is shifted back to the left wing!

Sheffield Wednesday have just spent 3.5 million on a striker so Madine may become suddenly available after all.

Madine has always been available. Sheff Weds werent interested before they were under new ownership. Let alone now. In other news Bigi is going to Rangers on loan apparently.

I meant available for no fee. That seemed to be a sticking point before but seems much more likely now.

Pressley's comments;

"We're looking at pursuing a few more deals today before the window shuts," Pressley said.

"We'd like another attacking threat, someone else with great speed and potentially another midfield player.

Does this mean he's looking to get three players in? Or is the attacking threat also someone else with great speed? We've already got 4 loan players in and Waggot has stated they will only go upto 5, so any more than one would have to be on a deal until the end of the season you'd assume.

Petrasso would be brillant. Which side of the wing he plays again?

Blair Turgott from West Ham. Never heard of him. Then again, I'd never heard of the other two and they were fantastic on Saturday.
