Wonder what the club is thinking about the next encouragement to get people to spend some money on season tickets?

I hope not. Proper fans like myself have supported the club early and received a discount. Why should any of the fair weather fans receive the same benefit?

Hardly fair weather if they buy a season ticket
I was at st andrews etc but support any initiatives to fill the stadium
I am happy with what I paid. I will also get a free shirt and £25 voucher so do not begrudge anybody getting the same price

Because of all of the uncertainty. It’s been tough time for everyone and a one off gesture wouldn’t bother me at all. If another 2k could now commit due to certainty and price then surely we would all like that? We want as much as support as possible as we will need it.

I would rather us have 18K in the stadium each week than have 13K and know that 4K people paid more than me. We need all the support we can get or the Ricoh will be back to being a soulless half empty bowl in no time.

That’s what it meant when he said it, but his back track statement will be being drafted from the moment he stopped speaking yesterday.

I’m definitely not rushing to book train tickets for away games anyway, bound to be a “new variant” before the end of the year.

The scientists explanation of why summer and the school holiday break is the best time to do it makes sense
I just hope it pays off as we can't live like this for ever

I think they’re a convenient excuse for backtrack Boris to backtrack.

Christ, I thought I could escape this kind of thing on the football side of the forum.

Anyway, the simple answer is that as it stands, there won't be any restrictions on travelling to Blackpool, unless the home club chooses to impose some.

It is going to feel a bit weird being in a stadium again, can't wait though.

I think he means that the variants/mutations aren’t just restricted to the U.K. As in, they’re everywhere.

But everywhere else aren’t using them as an excuse to keep or reinstate restrictions. Our lot are repeatedly. And they’ll do it again.

They are. Where I am there’s still loads of restrictions and no flights from U.K. allowed. If I went back to England, I’d have to quarantine back here for 3 weeks.

We got it early cos we needed a trade deal with India, but they’re getting it too now and won’t be far behind. If you think Boris is a lockdown hawk I don’t know what to tell you. Does he really come across as a “do no harm and hang the economy” kinda guy?

looks like they have said the Season tickets will be back at £375 - which is the last price they sold at
£16.30 per game
Expect match packages to be nearer £20 with POTG £25 or somewhere in that region

Already have all my super fan season tickets .
But Would be great if the club could offer say a 2 or 3 week window for people to get a season ticket at early bird price. The more the merrier.

  • The Club will open up Block 31, which was not previously on sale, as a socially distanced seating area – any fans who wish to move to this area can contact ticketoffice@ccfc.co.uk to move here. This can be done immediately.

Good idea. I'm block 20 with all the OAPs so they should all be vaccinated!

Fans banned at Olympics; Tokyo under state of emergency

Fans were banned from the pandemic-postponed Tokyo Olympics which will open in two weeks, following a state of emergency on Thursday, Olympic Minister Tamayo Marukawa told the Japanese news agency Kyodo.
