Apologies if thought of already.

But when CCFC play their "home" games at Sixfields,

We sell out the away end, peacefully.

We contact local police and show them it is a peaceful protest.

That way, those who attend every "home game" can "see the lads" as they put it, and there is minimal "home" attendance.

Also, would revolutionise football, look at the rugby today, England and Wales fans sat together drinking. We could have FOOTBALL fans sat together protesting against injustice against fans.

We've tried a boycott of sixfields, and there's 1500 Cov fans attending as they "go to support the lads".

So, say we sold old the away end, we would not only get support from the away team through interacting with them and showing a peaceful protest, but those who go regularly get to "support the lads", we show as football fans we are united against injustice towards clubs.

This is not a NOPM, personally I don't care about "SISU getting the money", so please don't bring this into it.

What I do care about is my home team playing in it's home city.

over 10k used to attend "home games" and now about 1k do, we are boycotting and if you look at the latest accounts, its working !

SISU can have this back tomorrow by moving back to Cov on a temp basis until they build legoland

I'm personally on the stayaway "side"

but we constantly ask what else can we do, I've suggested an option, for discussion.

I'm just asking what everyone's thoughts are on this idea

Doesn't it just show the people who were boycotting the Ricoh?

if you've got the "alleged" 1500 that can't miss a home game, surely, even for one game they could boycott the home end and sit in the away end?

they harp on about how they go where CCFC goes, well they will be where CCFC are, and supporting them.

feel free to shut this thread Nick, I'm just suggesting a different opinion/view on a protest

You seem very confused

This is the shoot down all ideas by others on how to make a stand about getting treated like poo.

It is much better to say 'all parties are responsible'

Go to Sixfields wait and see what happens.

No, fair play to you for thinking of ideas and sorry if I sounded "short" as I was on my phone.

ah okay

as you said, it's purely thinking of new ideas. I just think maybe a completely different protest like "home" and away fans in the away end could not only show what we want for CCFC but also show the world that football fans can sit together and be civilized at a sporting event.

I still think that we should "swarm" Northampton, when it is a bit warmer just get thousands of people there (people can go in if they want, if not on the hill, if not just sat on the grass outside). Massive party atmosphere, brass band, flame throwers, jugglers. It might not help, but it would at least be "fun".

I will definitely be going to sixfields this season, but not inside. I don't live in Cov, so a trip there will be around 170 miles each way. I think your suggestion will be best for Wolves

why would 10k cov fans who have had their team taken from their home city want to drive 34 mile away to a stadium that the owners have taken us to to have some fun ?

I had an idea last night: we should go to the next away game with our hands tied behind our backs! It would represent how it feels to be a City fan in this mess!!! I do realise that this will present a problem for those who plan on driving to the game, but imagine the pictures in the Coventry Telegraph of someone sat in the driving seat of a car with their hands tied behind their back, peering sorrowfully through the window - it would go viral!!! LOL!

I also realise it would be a problem with regards to things like toilet breaks, however I have thought about this long and hard and I reckon what you would have to do is get someone else to back up to you and, using their tied hands, kindly release your beast (so to speak/type!); you would also need them to help the beast back in to the cage (so to speak!) once you're finished*! I'm sure this is something all Coventry City fans would be willing to do for 'The Cause'!!!

(*And please make sure you don't lose your partner as it may leave you having to exit the toilet in a rather embarrassing state!**)

(**With your peni5 hanging out!***)

(***Speaking from experience (it was a simple misunderstanding that could happen to anyone), this can lead to you getting arrested!)

Whilst I am open to suggestions on protests and willing to support them where I can, I will not take part in this one.

At the start of the season I made a decision not to attend Sixfields because I did not support our move to Northampton. I was not prepared to support it financially or physically.....regardless of play offs or cup runs.

The only way I will go to Northampton is to be part of peaceful demonstrations outside the ground.

I do get Nicks point, although getting 10,000 there would be near impossible.

But could we get 5000? As we have had away followings around that size on three occasions this season.

Options that may have some impact:

1. (near) Total boycott of Sixfields
2. A large demo on the hill (100's)
3. A large demo at FL

Dont think any of them will happen, because everyone has slumped into apathy and inertia around the status quo (no not the band)...

The total boycott is impossible, even for one game as proved already
