Im confused! Never heard of this guy as our old head coach was Michael McBride. Damien Delahunty was brought in as his replacement. Hes now 'departed' to be replaced by this guy.
When the interviews took place for AT's replacement, Waggott (or Fisher, I get these two mixed up) clearly stated we could not afford to replace the back room staff so the new man will have to agree to work with the existing set up. Assistant manager and Physio were two specific job roles mentioned in that statement yet suddenly we have found a way to dispose of the them, and replace them. Amongst that we would surely have had to pay Watford some form of compensation, so yet more money spent!
Im not complaining that Robins is making changes but this is a contrast to anything we've been told since AT's departure.
Its the oldest trick in the book, say you don't have any money and then sending money. Its the way I'd like them to do business. The second you say you have money to spend the price goes up.
Delahunty decided to leave. It left an opening so Robin's capitalised on the situation. His first team coach that he brought in will probably take on a managing assistant role (like he did with Robin's in previous clubs) but still as first team coach if that makes sense.
