It seems to take ages surely they know who they want meet them and then choose and give the bloke a chance to train this bunch of misfits before Boxing Day, is it because fisher is busy elsewhere.

If it was Sam Ricketts I'd give him a fair chance to be honest. We are where we are and we are in state we are, Ricketts is no difference to Eddie Howe, Gary Monk, Sean Dyche, Paul Tilsdale a few have said they'd like him or dare I say even our own Jimmy Hill all were greenhorns when they started. Ricketts has to start somewhere and a bottom of the league third division club is about right for him. He might become the next Sir Alex or the next Andy Thorne who knows. I can't see us getting the "experienced" manager everyone says we need, Fisher quiet simply won't pay for one.

I agree with what your saying, we now are that type of club where fresh young inexperienced managers cut there teeth.

He may well prove to be a fair manager, one hell of a starting point tho. Mammoth uphill task. Easier first jobs out there tho.

If he was to be the man you have to support him if we feel he is or is not the right choice.... well initially till the honeymoon period ends

I think it shows how underprepared they were they thought Venus would do enough until at least the end on January and hopefully the end if the season

On the Steve Ogrizivic issue anyone who knocks any part of his goalkeeping between the sticks quiet simply must be blind in one eye and can't see out of the other.

Yeah, you're right. We can't knock any part of his keeping at all. Everything was 100% brilliant. 100% brilliant at catching, 100% brilliant at palming the ball out, 100% brilliant at kicking as well.

Not a single, solitary flaw in any his make-up. He was the son of God and all his farts smelled of roses too.

For me glazier the best keeper we have had. But we had good to very good keepers for years. Most have been mentioned on here. You don't play the amount of games oggy did in the top flight if you are average. He clearly was a very good keeper who made a huge difference to the teams he played in. I think he is probably a v good coach too but remember the keepers he is working with are L1 level; I think both Burge and RCC are better keepers this year than they were last. They certainly aren't in the top 10 of my city keepers but then again no one in the current side is in the top 10 in their position.

Glazier was the best keeper we have ever had.

Oggy was a very good keeper for us, but it is ridiculous to suggest that he had no faults in his game at all and was beyond criticism.

He was excellent at shot stopping and his organisation of the defence was first rate, but his kicking was very poor and he had a tendency to flap at crosses.

It was what it was. He single-handedly kept us in games on many occasions.

I'd go further
It's to do with the Incompetent Fisher
We've witnessed Inertia, huge turnover of players, players being recruited later and later into the season, told players would be plentiful and cheap at this level and then told there has been wage inflation this season.
I'd say this is par for the course on his watch.

That's the last two seasons now where we have recruited late in the day in the summer.

Is there a possibility therefore that it wasn't Mowbray saying he wanted to bide his time and get the right players in, but one of the purse strings being held back by the board?

How could they not be, they are Div 3 goalies, Oggy was a lower to mid table Premiership/Div 1 goalie.
But both are still young for goalies and may well go on to better in 3 or 4 years time.

Well it's now nearly three month without a manager and we have just lost five on the bounce and are one from the bottom of league one, what a truely great job Fisher is doing

Hartson is not a manager and has never been one

As previously said your warped mind deduces whatever you want it to ..........that doesn't make it fact

I'm guessing that if a new manager isn't appointed by Friday, then Nicky Eaden and Oggy will be in charge of team affairs at Bristol Rovers?

Easy. Those who say they want the team to:

1. Lose
2. Go into administration
3. Be liquidated
4. Not get a manager

It's all there in various threads. Not my idea of support but there you go, just a personal view. Maybe I'm in a minority.

Most people actually back their points up rather than just giving it the "clueless", "open your eyes" type stuff and then going AWOL when you get asked to explain what you can see that others can't.

"you know nothing"
"explain to me then"
"this is damaging your credibility you not knowing anything"
"can you explain to me what i dont know"
"open your eyes, everybody can see it"
"explain to me how it works"

Then:

It is so easy to tell people they don't know anything, can't see things etc etc when you don't bother to explain what it is they don't know.

Still, I guess if you keep saying others dont know anything over and over again then people might not notice you not able to actually explain what they don't know and start to believe you

So you keep saying, that's another favourite.

"If I need to explain simple things to you"

Surely if things are so simple, it would be even simpler for you to explain them in simple terms for the simple people?
