Robbie Keane - Player/Manager. Failing that, Richard Keys (loves the club and could've made it pro but decided to go into Sports Media don't you know?)

I'll be honest with you it's not something I'd previously considered and although it's somewhat a poisoned chalice I would definitely give it a go for CCFC. I mean if Tudgay gets a game then I don't see why I can't play.

We'd be playing 442 and signing loads of big nasty bastard

Keys could get SBK in to live stream all games to everyone's house who can't get there. Tony could make the tea and cut the half time oranges.

In interviews keys can grin and say super Sky blues a lot.

Any new manager will need to assess recent statements that seem to contradict each other:

1. There is money in the budget ......

2. We need to balance the books.....which could lead to player sales

The biggest problem here is we won't get a new manager, for the simple reason we have no budget, no money spare for players or even a top manager. Hence why Mowbray walked, there is no rosy ending in sight in the short term.

So which manager would come in under those conditions??

Plenty would welcome the opportunity. Leaving aside the Ricoh and academy scenarios which is outside a managers control, the vast majority of league one and league two work within tight budgets. If no manager would work under those conditions every league two club and most league one clubs would be manager less.

How do they contradict each other?

The managers budget is set at the beginning of the season, and there's an ongoing assumption built into that budget that every now and then we will sell players.

That budget still has money left for this season as Mowbray was unable to find any more donkeys he fancied spending it on

If you don't understand that then I'm worried for you

The point being that the business plan for most businesses adjusts mid-term reflecting half-year performance. Only idiots crash on spending money blindly when underperforming financially! Given that attendances are below target, then surely the budget for the second half of the season will be reduced!

it makes perfect sense. We still have unspent money from the summer that could be use for free transfers or loans / transfers in Jan. However, we cant rule out selling players to balance the books.

As the saying goes " you cant polish a turd" I am afraid whatever manager you get it will make no difference, the club is in complete shite , it needs to be dug up and started again with proper honest and decent and TRANSPARENT management. You can talk of people all night to be manager they wont and cant make the difference to where we need to be back and where we want to be. Its not like the days of old where the manager ruled the roost, the mangers now are lap dogs to a commercial vision of football that has sapped the living daylights of this sport at all levels. I personably blame accountants being over zealous with exel speadsheets.

Makes no difference who the manager is. Will be a case of same shit different wrapper.
The owners wont put their hand in their pockets to back whoever comes in anyway.

It's a fact mate, I prefer to know a fact that I know is a fact, than a fact that someone else says is a fact Don't you know!

We could let Grendel into the studio, and hear how Keys would say, Who is this wanker that says he's met me a few times then says he doesn't know me.

We need Venus to step down. Was hoping he would have done it by now (today I mean). He's a nice bloke I'm sure but he's not a manager. First of all we need a proper manager in to stem the tide. I do agree though, whoever takes charge will have litle impact overall while SISU run the club. We desperately need them to go asap.

I cannot see any manager making any difference whatsoever. The club is rotten to the core and everyone who works there must be dispirited. There must be a dreadful working atmosphere that stinks the place out. The club needs re-invigorating from the top to provide at the very least - a sense of purpose.

The problem with all the bitterness over the stadium fiasco is that it has left a sense of injustice amongst those who should be leading the way. that robs them of initiative.

He's not untried, but from 2011-2012 he was Caretaker manager, then manager for the last 2-3 seasons, so very new to the game.
