with all the shitsu blag about building a new ground that clearly the majority off us don't want is it time for a new protest slogan?

something along the lines of " if you build it we wont come" or something like that. something to try and call the bluff of shitsu for suggesting it and the FL for backing it.

not saying it is the direction we should go in, just wondered what other people's thought were.

What statistical evidence do you have that people wouldn't go or in principal do not think its a good idea?

Ironically if we had a rugby ground like Northampton do and had shared with the rugby team crowds would not have declined much at all.

The problem is the distance to travel and the belief they won't actually build a stadium. The principal behind it is correct.

It's not about owners, stadia, councils or ANY of the stupid 'politics' or protests IMHO!

It's about supporting your team & manager wherever they play, just off to Sixfields
can't wait to see what today may bring, more goals hopefully PUSB!

Sadly while we're playing in Northampton, that's exactly what it is about (IMHO!).

probably the same statistical evidence that shitsu have that if they build it we will come.

which is part of the reason for starting the thread, as i said " not saying it is the direction we should go in, just wondered what other people's thought were "

how many fans have shitsu asked if they want it? what research have they done? where is their statistical evidence?

we have seen timmy's calculations on how many will come to sixfields and the truth is anything but.

It will probably take that long in Roman numerals to build it!

IMHO? I like it! Slogan sorted.

But yes, NoPM and KCiC have had their day - if they ever got off the ground anyway. CCC won't sell to SISU, SISU won't rent so we are stuck at Sixfields until either one side gives in (Highly unlikely) or the fabled ground is built (equally unlikely), so Northampton it is. Pointless standing on the hill and outside an empty office. All IMHO, of course.

I think those who's position is that they 'blame ACL' and understand why SISU had to do what they've done blah blah are being appeased far too much, I understand why KCIC was seen as a better less-divisive slogan, but backed by their cheerleader Les Reid, the rabidly anti-ACL mob haven't moved an inch in their position and are trying to twist KCIC to fit their own agenda of 'sell to SISU' (see most posts on GMK for example) - it is they who are most responsible for dividing our fanbase and think it's time to return to a 'SISU out at all costs' message for those of us who don't buy it.

How are they responsible for dividing fans? Are they sending newsletters out to fans saying don't go to games?

Why does it make somebody anti or pro.to try and see that all sides have made mistakes in this sorry mess?

Nick, i really don't think i can recall anyone saying that ACL/CCC/Higgs are blameless in this sorry mess. But their is no or should be no denying who carries the bulk of the blame and who the majority of the fans despise the most, Shitsu. Plain and simple Shitsu.

So they need to go for the benefit and future of our club, their simply isn't one with them however you like to dress it up.

aside from that we can if we stick together force shitsu out, CCC are government they are never going anywhere, so to try and force out the lesser of 2 evils is a pointless task.

So you may as well put all your efforts into getting rid of the worse of 2 evils so the club can move on and prosper.

So if we force sisu out, what is the alternative? A few months ago administration would force sisu out.

What are the options for when sisu have been forced out?

you seem to have forgotten so I'll remind you that there was more than one bid for the club when it was in administration, so their is more than 1 very real potential buyer.

mmmm and i'm trying to think if there has ever been a situation where the fans have forced an owner out and taken over the club. oh yeah, that's right Swansea. still your probably right that was a disaster, i mean look where that bunch of chancers got the club.

Ahhh I forgot, you don't want sisu to buy the ricoh because they just want the land but we should give it all to a property developer?

There are no other 100% dead set options. If there were better options for the club than sisu then I would be all for getting them out. That isn't me saying they are best for the club now, but what other choices do we have?

Yes we can force them out and the fans will take over, the fans are well prepared to run a football club aren't they? They are standing on the hill drawing pictures off muppets, should they be running a club? I'd rather Fisher and seppala than that option right now to be honest unless some decent plans are released.

i just don't want shitsu involved in my club full stop. like someone said to you on another thread "there are no worse option that shitsu" if you are happy to settle for the worse possible owners then fair play to you but i think more of the club than condemning them to shitsu.

i suggest you watch the Swansea documentary that was on TV not that long ago. by their own admissions they had to learn how to run a football club and guess what they did, because they had a common interest and desire that wasn't and i quote "their shareholders". obviously they didn't run it as well as the previous owners as they are languishing in the premiership as where the previous owners almost put them out of business for good, you know like shitsu seem to be their best to do to us.

no one should have to or feel they should settle for shitsu and that includes you Nick.

So are you saying our council should give our owners a third share of the management company and charge them a peppercorn rent?

Didn't our council give us a half share of the management company which we then sold on?

I might also be happy for Seppala and Fisher to run the club IF they released some decent plans, posted some accounts and I put blinkers on about their track record...having been here six years Nick they have a lot of ground too make up when it comes to winning over their customers confidence. But I am willing to be won over, I have been waiting six years now.

What I'm saying is I'd rather bad owners than no club and until I am shown valid alternatives I think it's pointless saying let's get sisu out.

It is all well and good saying let fans run it but which fans? Elliott and hoffman? Jan and Michael?

I find it quite staggering that anyone makes comments like this. It's not even accurate.

The club sd it to the council as they were broke. Swansea when broke were given a ground which they paid minimal rent for a season and part ownership of the management company to get revenues.

They still have the same deal now in the premiership.

It didn't matter who the owners of Swansea were. They had a council that wanted them to succeed as opposed to one that saw them as a way of making a fast buck. I'm afraid while people like you remain entrenched in your views the club has no future.

even if those bad owner have let the club come close to going out off existence by deliberately driving them on that course and if the end result of their ownership was the club went out of existence wouldn't leave anyone surprised?

and no i don't mean Elliott and Hoffman etc, i mean the Swansea blueprint which I've been pretty clear on. try and keep up if you can.

Yes but I am just asking who would raise the money to run the club? How much did that fighting fund ever get?

Coming close to non.existence is better than non.existence right?

Like I said, when there is proof of better options I'd fully back them

Not sure what you're getting at here, are you implying that every single other bid made when we were in administration was some sort of false bid that would have never been followed through or that all those bidders would have been worse custodians of the club than SISU?

Isn't this the argument that got us in this mess? The idea that everyone had to hand over everything to SISU as noone else would be interested?

Well we know the council's was, as was the one byng sent by email which didn't reach but then he said they didn't...

We know the other was haskell who is a property developer and promised to make Elliot chairman and don't know about the others.

What im saying is that we don't know the other options do we? People are saying get sisu out but aren't saying to get who in and why they will be better.

seriously, watch the documentary. you never know you might gain some ambition for our club.

how close are you happy for the club to get, i passed my comfort point a long time ago.

you've seen the proof, like i said their was alternative bids to scrotium. what do you want? bank statements? pre contract agreements? confessions at gun point that they were serious?

so you would rather back shitsu?

How is it inaccurate? We ran out of money before a brick was laid, the council took over the project and completed it and CCFC were given a 50% stake in ACL which they then sold on!

Who cares what deal Swansea have? People have over and over again given examples of other clubs who have worse deals with their council. You can't surely still think this dispute is actually about the level of the rent???

I haven't seen any proof of alternatives, the only other serious bid I know of is haskell and what makes him better / where is he?
