What I find most interesting about this, is that out of the 20+ organisations - contacted between the Telegraph and the Trust - Nuneaton and Bedworth is the only one which has flat out refused to answer the questions about a possible new stadium.
While it's true others could have refused to answer at least some of the questions under the rules of FOI, none of them did. They all answered that they have had no contact with the club.

Was there anything to actually suggest that was the site or were people assuming because it was the most likely place?
It is a bit odd, unless it's protecting the interests of development companies in regard to sites coming forward as per the housing site. May be an issue regarding comliance perhaps (level playing field (pardon the pun) for all commercial interests)?
It isn't the club who are dealing with it!
You know the answer to that

Didn't fisher state it would be developed/ built/ owned by a 3rd party so the club might not necessarily be involved in the process?
I believe one of the questions (possibly the Trust one, though Simon can confirm) was about any sports stadium, not specifically the club.
Next time do a FOI about discussions on ANY development by ANY party over (say) 10 acres and try to get a list.. that might narrow the possible areas down.
Unless N&B want to claim they can't talk about anything.. which they may.

Who is then oh enlightened one.
The club has to be informed as they have to show proof of continued plans to the FL
Or do people just like to make up what suits them at a particular time, of course yes only mythical people know anything about the mythical stadium that surprisingly doesn't exist. Where is the land? Guess what!?!
The FL haven't asked for any proof so far and AFAIK won't until the end of the season.
Hate to say it but RFC is right. If you ask FOI it should read has anyone talked to whoever authority/council not just Ccfc !

I think that's what the Trust did. Again, I'm not 100%
development proposals within the Council’s area relating to the building of a football stadium and/or any other facilities related to the business of the football club?
A bit like the Ricoh then?

No, they restricted their question to sporting stadiums, I'm saying ask a broader question and then ask follow up questions to narrow down the possibilities.
Not sure you know what 3rd party means. Or you're not sure how the Ricoh project happened. CCFC were certainly involved.
True. We chose the colour of the seats.
Were the club involved upto the 'land deal ' with Tesco?
