So where are these sites in "the Coventry Area"?

What I find most interesting about this, is that out of the 20+ organisations - contacted between the Telegraph and the Trust - Nuneaton and Bedworth is the only one which has flat out refused to answer the questions about a possible new stadium.

While it's true others could have refused to answer at least some of the questions under the rules of FOI, none of them did. They all answered that they have had no contact with the club.

It is a bit odd, unless it's protecting the interests of development companies in regard to sites coming forward as per the housing site. May be an issue regarding comliance perhaps (level playing field (pardon the pun) for all commercial interests)?

Was there anything to actually suggest that was the site or were people assuming because it was the most likely place?

I hope your not suggesting Nuneaton & Bedworth are allowing sisu to think they are the only bidders for the land whilst negotiating with other parties????

No. I honestly don't. You'd be amazed how poor my memory is.

I'm assuming the latter.

Isn't it time they wheeled out ML to spout some bullshit about announcing the site in x amount of weeks?

Why is it in the "public interest" not to disclose the answer?

Didn't fisher state it would be developed/ built/ owned by a 3rd party so the club might not necessarily be involved in the process?

I believe one of the questions (possibly the Trust one, though Simon can confirm) was about any sports stadium, not specifically the club.

Next time do a FOI about discussions on ANY development by ANY party over (say) 10 acres and try to get a list.. that might narrow the possible areas down.
Unless N&B want to claim they can't talk about anything.. which they may.

I think that's what the Trust did. Again, I'm not 100%

Maybe they don't want to say anything as a question was asked them by SISU or whoever on their behalf but they know more or less nothing will come from it. And all would happen is upset residents that are close to a proposed site where house prices could be affected and angry residents getting together to protest for no reason.

The club has to be informed as they have to show proof of continued plans to the FL
Or do people just like to make up what suits them at a particular time, of course yes only mythical people know anything about the mythical stadium that surprisingly doesn't exist. Where is the land? Guess what!?!

Wouldn't bother mate as soon as anyone proves he's talking rubbish or ask him to discuss any of the so called information he knows he just disappears, we are still waiting for some of the explosive plans that Joy discussed with him in her 20year vision.

We've had the 5year plan which failed so we've moved on to the 20 year panic stations plan, don't worry though I'm sure RFC can come back with his usual unfounded blah, blah, blah finished of the the usual "HELP"

The FL haven't asked for any proof so far and AFAIK won't until the end of the season.

I wait with baited breath

FL: How are the plans coming on for the new stadium?

CCFC: Very well, we have a supporters forum to debate it and a stadium specialist in place.

FL: Is it on track for 2016 still?

CCFC Yes absolutely.

FL: Excellent, thanks for keeping your promise.

This very thread confirms that the question was posed as you suggest. So fortunately we can assume the normal position of thinking that RFC is a bit of a tit.

No, they restricted their question somewhat, I'm saying ask a much broader question about ANY development and then ask follow up questions to narrow down the possibilities.

development proposals within the Council’s area relating to the building of a football stadium and/or any other facilities related to the business of the football club?

Not sure you know what 3rd party means. Or you're not sure how the Ricoh project happened. CCFC were certainly involved.

Or did we?

In all seriousness, the project was lead by the club as much as anything. Certainly the football bit.
