i have been told by someone close to the club that the takeover is very much on again, and one of the reasons for clouting leaving the club and the reason why the other guy left after just a day, both know that a new broom is coming in very soon....

Welcome, DK. Same fellow as was on the CT forum for a bit if I remember? And on that occasion those who knew your identity said you were a bit of a legend and to be trusted! So, this is good news, right?

Things are bubbling away shall we say, no guarantees, nothing definite but getting Clouting out of the way is a step in the right direction.

Well, that's two posters who tend to know something solid saying similar things. Given that a few weeks ago the takeover was dead in the water, any news is positive.

Trying to rack my brains for a logical reason for SISU to walk away now.

Finally decided to cut their losses while they can?

Hoff's consortium upped their bid?

Also, didn't their investors agree to back the club for the season? Did they hand over the money there and then or have they now retracted that statement and won't be providing any more?

Well there has been a certain amount of turbulence in the financial world of late, maybe SISU won't even guarantee us until summer now...and "Arnie" Hoffman did say he'd be back..

I take it from the positive vibes, Darkknight is a trustworthy sole and this is good news at last.
Maybe they have come back in with a promise to keep the dealings out of the press. I am sure all the blabbing before would not have filled SISU with confidence that all the "dirt" they find out will remain hidden!! Nothing changes as yet, but maybe a glint of a light......

Seems strange if SISU dip out now. Perhaps they have said bollocks enough is enough and we'll take the hit, as they are losing cash on a daily basis and see no end to it. Lets hope its not out of the frying pan if it happens

Maybe they need to get out cos of the light the guardian and MP ,and eventually through the govt pressure on the fa,like bates suddenly became owner @leeds afew days after the same light shone on their offshore owners ,can't think of a better reason to have a blair former advisor on the board, except fire fighting.:thinking about:

it cant help they know we will be in League One in a few months, making the cash cow even more unlikely.

Lets face it, we can only be worth less in 12 months, so perhaps they have decided to bail out.

More to the point, Parliament today announces moves for club debt to be tackled and they are very much taking the FA to task. It was just on Radio 5. Reading between the lines, transparant ownership would appear to be essential in their eyes going forwards. Hello.. :claping hands:

:welcome: Hello Dark Knight. I wondered how long it would be before you posted on this forum. Those of us from the old CT forum will remember that DK was a source of good, seemingly 'inside' information.

Tell us, DK, why has Clouting gone?

Can't see this having any truth in it at this time. Still stranger things have happened though I suspect adding 2 and 2 and coming up with 6 maybe going on here......

The Drak Knight was an occasional but very accurate poster on the CT website. I suppose we shall soon know.....

"Drak Knight" is that a vampire that enjoys jousting.

Trying to pick the positives out of this, in 2007 Fletcher left cos he knew the writing was on the wall and he had no answers, Fletch like clouting both established football executives with reasonable CVs.

Thanks DK. Difficult not to get excited despite snozzers warning, but after such a torrid time of late any snippet will be grasped tightly and with expectation.

It would make sense as they have probbaly realised that they will only ever recover their investment with promotion that is unachievable without further investment and even with a reduced wage bill, declining crowds mean that they won't even break even on running costs. Please please please let this be true.
