Why didn’t the previous owners do something like this? Wouldn’t make enough money or just couldn’t be arsed?

Even more gutted I'm not there for this game now. A bit surreal to keep seeing evidence that we're being run like an actual club, great to finally be able to utilise all the space we have

It sounds like the fan village is instead of opening the bars in the concourse, not as well as?

That article suggests that, but the matchday guide thing says turnstiles open at 1.30, cant imagine they'll open with no bars open

So many years of misery and mismanagement of our club, but now all we seem to get is lots of good positive news. Brilliant by Doug 🩵

Because it involves actual effort. Their mindset it "I buy it, then I sell it and I get more money than what I paid for it without having to do anything."

I read that as the Fan Village will be open after the game instead of the bars in the concourse, like they trialled after Blues

The club seemed to have stopped collaborating with Dhillons, they’d have usually been involved with something like this

Think there might have been a bit of a breakdown in relations between the two

I guess King just wants as much money as possible coming into the club, this is a good idea and a great use of the exhibition hall on a matchday. Already seeing the benefits of owning the arena.

Depends where your concourse is? If you mean outside, then yes that may be the case.

why would they, it sounds like are just moving the beer sellers from by the east stand to inside the hall

dhillons still have their bars inside and the tv, they also have deals to work with other clubs now so they are doing very well out of their link to cov

There's room for both.

Dhillons have fingers in plenty of pies. They are about to open a major food hall in Friargate and are opening a fan zone in Swansea.

Ultimately, our club will make more money selling their own pints than making 10% (or whatever it was) on a Sky Blue Army lager sold elsewhere.

Weren’t their plans to build a Dhillions fan zone where the recycling plant is?

I said that recently, and Dhillons realistically now is a competitor rather than a collaborator

Been banging on about this for ages. Glad it’s finally happening (albeit I’m not at the game on Saturday). Only slight pain is it’s on the opposite side of the ground to the train station! Assuming you’re able to walk behind the away end to get to it?

It's only after games they put the pathetic fencing up
Even at Lesser there's no segregation once out of the stadium

Well it was deserted before and after the Brum game by all accounts, and has been each time the club has done the £3.60 deal and as I said earlier usually they would collaborate with the club on the fans village instead of the club taking all their custom

My personal opinion is whilst they had a good relationship with Dave Boddy and co. - Doug is of the opinion they get a lot out of CCFC without putting much in

I've just been told that the live music is part of the partnership with the council. They're sending Ann Lucas with a karaoke machine.

I think the main reason for Fraser's not doing something like this would be logically other events, they went as far as the set up outside, too much effort involved possibly?

I mean can anyone blame Doug if so?

Fair play to Dhillons they piggybacked off the club for a while and have done really well with fans and offers etc. But at the end of the day that money was going to Dhillons and not the club

If we hoover up Dhillons business around the stadium then so be it. They will make a decent wedge out of the tavern
