I’m not sold on the lad Kyprianou, but who knows. If we did sign him, it’d give everyone an excuse to break out the ‘HMS piss the league’ memes again.

Surely if he was good enough for us to consider, others would have also been testing the resolve of the Peterborough Chairman. Not a hint of anything related to him yet from anybody I don't think.

Is Molumby a shout? Never considered it but West Brom rumoured to be having fire sale of everyone in last year of contract?

It would be a gamble, as the lad is a bit between levels (imo), having seen him play a few times.

Definitely a prospect in there though; maybe another year in L1 will iron out the creases a bit.

Eh? We have no idea what goes on behind the scenes at any football club. Who else has been in for our other signings that we know of?

We know stuff leaks out though don't we.
Also, the Peterborough Chairman likes to talk!

Alex Mowatt would be absolutely unreal but I doubt if we'd get him.

He's just signed a new contract at WBA. If we were going to sign him it would have been when he was a free agent in the summer

Ethan Erhahon,
Dan Barlaser,
Andre Dozzell,
Luca Connell,
Oliver Rathbone,
Cheaper ish options.

But someone like Alex Mowatt like others have said would be ideal, I quite like Sam Field at QPR but he's also just signed a new contract. Possibly Lewis Travis from Blackburn could be an option. Ben Whiteman from Preston is decent at this level also. I suspect MR will have his sights set higher than most of these tho.

I'd love Alex Mowatt, not going to happen though.

Played well most times I have seen him play and think he ran the game for West Brom at The Hawthorns last season

not saying it’s likely to happen, mainly as I assume his wages are at least three times more than our highest earners, but imagine if Gus came back for a second stint as the missing piece of the jigsaw

from a transfer fee point of view, if Vik moves and we got anywhere near £8-10M, taking into account the apparent £1.5M ish they still owe us and the sell on fee (10%?) some people have been on about, that’s around £13M which can’t be that far off….

back to reality though, Kyprianou, or Cameron Brannagan from Oxford - a bit older but a quality player

I dont think we will be getting anything like £13m in, without wanting to derail this into an advanced algebra seminar i thought we get 10% of any profot which is more likely to end up being 6 or 7m? To be fair that's still a very useful amount to us.

I was including the outstanding amount Sheff Utd owe from the Gus transfer plus the apparent sell on % if they sell him (although still not convinced that actually exists)

It’s not going to happen anyway, so no need to get the calculator out!

Interestingly a Belgian twitter page which looks half reputable saying we have an interest in Nicolas Madsen. A 24 year old midfielder from K.V.C Westerlo...

13 goals from 34 games last season, 0 assists.

Plus he looks like a real life Sideshow Bob.

I really wanted Lewis O'Brien but he's just gone to LA.

What do they have that Coventry doesn't?
