CoCFC, 1883, whatever...........did anything happen? Anything at all? No? Still an impasse then, unsurprisingly, but even starting and hosting plans online would have turned the screw on SISU. As it is, you are still out there, waiting (still), an asset for them.

He's definitely on the wind up, he was more keen for a new club than our fans were.

No doubt an empty stadium should make more of an impact on SISU. But these heartless bastards don't really care anything about CCFC fans whether they are there or not. They may take satisfaction that these fans stand with them as they carry out there plan (whatever it is). It gives them some reassurance and at least at the so called home matches there's no protesting, no banners and no anti SISU chants.

It's difficult to see whether these few people make a difference. If SISU ever decide to come back to the Ricoh and say that fans non attendance has become a factor then we can say they held it up.

Sailtaire is very genuine as Gary J said. Over past few months has made a real contribution. Quite revealing here that the posters having a pop at him are Sisu apologists.
The idea of a reclaimed CCFC playing in Coventry is not to be dismissed. Given time I think many fans would warm to it. And I'm talking taking back all the history. It belongs to us. Just as Wimbledon did with MK Dons.
Just the idea of a 'phoenix' club will make Sisu sit up.
I don't think many fans will like the idea of a second season in Northampton. Time will tell.

But Wimbledon moved permanently to Milton Keynes and refranchised and renamed MK Dons. AFC Wimbledon was a 'Phoenix' club,

Unless CCFC move permanently and/or refranchise any 'new' club is merely a breakaway, and won't be able to claim the history, etc.

Given that Gary.J has stated ccfc is dead to him and tried to tell us about the 5 stages of grief, and was pushing for a new club I'm not surprised that he find SB's comments supportive.

and creating a new club is going to do this swiss?? Isnt going to make a big of difference, they want the ricoh but not willing to pay through the nose for it. Its a factor of who will crack first ACL or SISU.

Not quite Stu, I will never give up on CCFC, I just don't recognise the current regime as CCFC.

I was pushing for the SAME club, just without the current board, to me, a restart seems the easiest way to get rid of them. 5-10 years in lower leagues, without huge debts, building a solid foundation from the bottom upwards, or 5-10 years of possible neglect and decline away from Coventry. Neither may sound particularly appealing, but at least one of those options gives us control, and gives us a future.

Stu, you previously stated that you think the Swansea model is the way to go, fan ownership would be my preferred route also, I've maintained all along; by the fans, for the fans, I just don't see how we could ever wrestle the remnants of the club from the current board at a reasonable price, without the debt.

I don't see a future with the current board, or any of the other potential owners that have been mentioned, and I'm not prepared to wait several years, away from Coventry, because I have zero faith, zero belief and zero trust in the current regime! Once bitten, leopards and spots etc!

Is the FL likely to take the golden share, and hand it over to us?

Could we, as a fan group, acquire control of the stadium revenue streams? Is that an avenue worth exploring?

We both agree on fan ownership, right? Do you want control of our club? How else can we take it back?

When I say Swansea model I don't necessarily mean fan ownership, that part doesn't really bother me, we've had fan ownership in some guise, eg fan shares and Robinson's involvement before.

In terms of Swansea, I'm talking about having a long term football philosophy, which determines player and management recruitment, strong academy, and a rigid wage and transfer budget structure, and spending within our means.

Will the FA/FL hand a group of fans with zero infrastructure, zero players, etc the golden share whilst ccfc is still in existence? Not a hope in hell.

can fans get access to Ricoh revenue streams? No chance, unless we pay a few £m up front

I've never been on wind up on here, maybe I my post was easy to misinterpret, ah well, whatever.

I actually joined after reading for ages, to try to push action, I only ever advocated a new club, or even just the first serious (visible to SISU) stepping stones towards a new club, as means to an end, a quicker return to Coventry. I think it would have helped, I still do.

As much as I would maybe watch a new club when I'm in Cov it wouldn't be CCFC. I have to say I was for this before the season started but with every game played I realise I couldn't give up on CCFC. This should be a last resort and pressure should be put on ACL and Sisu to talk. They are both guilty here.

I think this might be because you are playing well and banging in goals for fun! I recall this board pre-season and this start was entirely unexpected, things could be very different, credit to the manager.
