becoming less interesting as it goes on
36 teams in a league, where you only play 10 games
top 8 go straight through, next 16 into a qualifier

and then after the qualifiers into knockout

need an extra 4 weeks out of the English season so probably kills the league cup

2 teams who do not qualify automatically get wild card entries (so this season if in place would include liverpool)

The most exciting bit is when it goes to knockout there is such little jeopardy otherwise it’s just like friendlies

Are they deliberately trying to make competitions less exciting? Expanding everything and having more games isn't the way forward.

It also sounds like a fix to ensure clubs they want are in it

The wild cards will be reserved for clubs with the highest Uefa co-efficient - points used to rank clubs based on past European success

so basically if a 'big' name doesn't finish high enough in the league to get in they can add them in anyway.

absolute scandalous this format FIFA and Fix go perfectly together.

This is going to be a disaster for football in England and around Europe. You might as well create a European Super League instead with all the top clubs competing in it as this is what this new Champions League is in all but name
