Talks are of long term plans to get back to the premiership (eventually....how long have they been saying that for??). So does Fisherface and his crew really think that a new 12,000 seat capacity stadium is worthy of staging premiership games? I mean that in itself suggests no hope or ambition at all.... more like championship at best. Is it me or have they not thought that through? and if by some miracle years down the line we did manage to make it back to the big time does that mean they will have to build us another bigger stadium to accomadate the rise in interest of our football club again??!!

I'm not saying I think it going to happen or that Fisher was telling the truth or any of that bollocks.

BUT

He's clearly said it will be modular and can be added to when needed, he also said it would be more than 12k.

If it is 12,000 then I agree and I will not be part of it. No ambition and just a small stadium on a retail park, next to Tesco and Halfords.

He said it would be 18,000 with room for expansion.

Has he, when was that ?
The lack of information, even a concept design to sell it to the fans, proves to me it is all boll£$cks

Yeah 12,001....saving that extra seat for Joy

True it could be added to but how much of a pain in the arse would that be?

Even if (please, no) that SISU remain as owners, will Fisher still be in charge. He's been very quiet lately and I think he has either done what was asked, or really screwed up big time. Take your pick.

and I too never heard heard him say or have read anywhere that it could be a modular building of a stadium. Where did you get that from?

For my own sanity I read very little into anything that he, or indeed our glorious owners suggest.

I didn't say 12K. Nobody has put a figure up officially.
It's people like you building it in your minds and then pretending it is fact.

I didn't say you said 12k did I! The opening poster did, but you failed to question him on it and went straight for me, the one with evidence.

Stick your 'It's people like you' directly up your arse.

All people have done in this thread is repeat what Fisher has said with the obvious caveat that it's Fisher saying it so take it with a big heap of salt.
You appear to be the only one miscontruing anything in this case.

I read the article, which was over 2 weeks ago. TF said ....

He told Press Association Sport: "We've got a small number of sites which we are negotiating with, we are looking to get into exclusivity. Within the next week for sure for one, and potentially the second within a week as well.

"It will be in the Coventry area, we've got a number of sites both in the north and all around the Coventry boundary. They are very, very close.

All now bullshit ... so do you still believe him.

Love it how SISU can't say anything official but their staff are leaking propaganda on BB's

Are you real? Look at my first post in this thread. In fact I'll make it easy for you.

Now think about what you are saying.

And so what if it was 2 weeks ago, I was just informing KingHouchen that fisher didn't say 12k, he said 18k.

Italiahorse the answer is no. I don't believe a word that comes out of that fishermans trap! so everything is taken with a pinch of salt. I still have a feeling we'll land up back at the ricoh before long. Just a question of who is gonna cave first

Nah, the Ricoh wasn't designed for expansion, the only way to do so is to knock a stand down and start again.

hill83 was just pointing out the facts of what was SAID....not about the facts of what is FACT....if you get my drift. Anyway i understand and i get it. But surely you must agree that none of it...12 or 18k is ambitious. It's as though we are destined to be minnows now...a big City like ours too. So depressing......anyone got a noose!!

I even put the ridiculous caveat you need to put in on every post and it still ends up the same!

Not true. Southamptons plans for expansion would see them expand it up and around their current stadium:

Incidentally, they are using the architects that TF was harping on about for our "new stadium"

Nope. Even a good run of 20 games at the Ricoh we'd see more than 18k. It's a despressing figure when we could be sat in a 32K stadium.

that's better. Finally got your opinion on it. Anyway just read a different thread that ACL have offered for cov to play at ricoh for 150k per term for 3 years i think....10 years was mentioned so not sure. So looks like ACL may have caved first if it's true
