John Salako.
Runnar Norman
Laurent Delorge
Keith O'Neill
Tim Sherwood
Eoin Jess (I thought he lacked strength)

Robert Jarni, promised so much and didnt even give us a training session, although he did get to sit in the stand in a nice pair of sun glasses.

I suppose the worst in value for money terms was Gary Collier very closely followed by David Jones.

I liked Wegerle and Rosario! If I remember correctly Rosario was the foil which allowed Micky Quinn to score so many goals?

Plenty of players have had a nice jolly at the expense of City over the years, but thats seems to be a thing of the past, for all of Thorns' faults one thing he demands is alot of fight and spirit from his players.

The Hondurans,
Sherwood,
Eastwood,
Normann,
Delorge,
Drinkell....the list goes on.

Wasn't Eastwood part of the squad and where was the fight from Clingan last season?

Wasn't Eastwood told to find another club part-way throught he season by Thorn?

I have no answer to Clingan's lacklustre performances.

Dean Emerson. Unfair to put him in this thread maybe, but he was brilliant before Megson crocked him.

I'd argue about a few of those, though Wright was excellent when he played and several others did a job or weren't given a fair crack.

Every club has just as long a list of players like this though, it's just part of the game. There's also a list just as long of players we took a chance on and it paid off. No sense in dwelling on the failures.

Unfortunately when it comes to Stephen Wright, I'll never forget his 90th minute bullet-header own goal against Pompey in the cup. We had done, so, so well up until that point. I think we lost it in extra time if I remember correctly.

I thought the two idiots that Jim Smith brought with him were two of the worst I've seen up there. Carbonari and Trollope if I'm not mistaken.

A couple I'd disagree with on here. Bellamy is obviously a super player. We just didn't get the most out of him and I think we expected far too much from him to be honest. Also, to say GS went mad on Hondurans is a bit spurious. He bought two. And a Peruvian who I thought was pretty good. He just didn't get in the side enough.

Yeah lost in the 120th minute, Aaron Mokoena header from a corner. What were/are people's thoughts on Isaac Osbourne? Did a reasonable fill in job that one season at RB, but was injured a fair bit towards the end of his time with us and never really saw him in central midfield myself
