This date transfer deadline day never bothered me before but feeling nervous when i see that the club are still interested in another midfielder George Moncur - Are we looking at a late bid for Maddison or even the lively Fleck

Have the club, or anyone operating in the club, mentioned that we're after George Moncur?

Or has it come from a forum?

Which do you believe if so...

we made 2 late signing last season lmao the way the championship clubs are spending stupid money I wouldnt rule out one of them testing our limits on selling maddison anything over 3 million I think he would be sold tbh

If all the money was made available I would - especially if you could guarantee Armstrong would stay for the season.

It's a fine line. By the end of the season it's more than likely Wilson and Bournmouth will regret not cashing in when they could. It's unlikely he will ever sell for more than we sold him ever again.

It would be the utterly dumbest thing the club could possibly do at this moment in time. Sell a key player now on the back of this wave of optimism, followed up with a defeat or two, and crowds would be back at 7k in no time and on here we'd all be back to calling each other a bunch of pricks. In fact even the very thought of it is pushing me over the edge. You bunch of pricks...

that could be an interesting situation come Jan if Newcastle bid for Maddison on an agreement we got both him and Armstrong on loan till may (like the dele ali deal to spurs with the added bonus of armstrong)

I can't see Armstrong being here past his current agreement. I don't think he'll go back to his parent club. More a case of they'll be a host of championship club's wanting his services and Newcastle would be mad not to send him up a level to see how he cope's.

depends on circumstance if we are top 6 fighting he would get more from been part of a successful team that play fast energetic football then a team in the championship that are struggling and getting there arse handed to them.

Why? What is coping in the championship going to prove - unless Newcastle think that's where they will be the following season.

What would you rate Armstrong value wise at the minute? Approximately?

I read somewhere it is up to Armstrong if he stays here or wants to try his hand at championship level or i suppose back at Newcastle from January.
I am comfortable with that i am certain TM will be on the ball way before then and will know exactly what will be happening and have his stall planned and set out to suit.

he's been very quiet recently, hasn't he? Presumably TM's told him to stay in the background.

I would. Maddison is not worth £3 million!

£1.5 million player at present. I don't see him being a Premier League player, top half Championship at best.

You was wrong when you said that selling Wilson for 3m was good business for CCFC. And if Wilson shows what he can do in the Prem a few clubs will be after him. Championship clubs are spending more than 3m on players not as good as him now. So explain why his value would go 3m or lower when Championship clubs know what he can do in that division?

He was magnificent in the first half on Tuesday. If he performs like that till January I can see him making it right at the top of the game

Currently to lightweight for the premier. The same as Lamerias. Madders needs to put on a stone and gain a body shape like Armstrongs

I'm not saying he wasn't good on Tuesday because, as you said, he was excellent but I don't think he is worth that at the moment.

If he does carry on then it could be a possibility. But I still stand by my point; if a club offered £3million for him before the end of the TW then I would take it.

It would show he's better than league one and is capable of stepping up a level. An important thing to conclude in the development of a young, rising star. They need to see progress in him and stepping up a level can be a big part of that not only for the club but Armstrong himself.

For those reasons alone more clubs will be watching.
Sorry but money talks.
They can get double or treble the money they earn here.

As TM said Maddison has only just learnt how to tie his boots. But he is a great prospect and should progress to at least Championship level, injuries permitting.

We have two interesting comparisons at the moment in the club. Lamieras who has stepped down to this level, but ahead of him at the moment. Then Armstrong who is on loan and way ahead of him.

He does need to become physically stronger, especially upper body strength. I don't think "bulk up" is necessarily the right term as that would work against what makes him so good at the moment. But He does need competitive mental strength and show a determination not to be knocked off the ball or to the ground.

If Sisu want us out of this league then we need to keep this group of players together and we need to be adding to it...
Why be so quick all the while surely the club is worth more to an investor if we get to the championship?

I can't see us selling any player I really can't.This squad is going places and Mowbray is building not weakening.Even our dodgy owners can see that can't they ? You watch now I've wrote this they'll go and sell Maddison to Leicester !

failing any offer to good to turn down i think your right might be a few loan deals made on fringe players to get them playing time wouldn't be surprised to see Connor Thomas and Ryan Haynes given month loans to get playing time and match fitness similar to the Lawton deal.
