my Grandad used to be a president at LCFC in the Filbert Street days for many year and he was very close to Martin O’Neil and the whole squad around that time.

I won’t kick a man when he’s down but this was a regular thing in his playing days At Leicester too.

I know it’s tragic, They tried to persuade me to the dark side, sitting me with the big timers, fancy meals etc once a year but my dad was a Cov fan and that fancy bullshit didn’t compare to Highfield road, eating a pie and the smell that come with it.

living in Leicestershire I didn’t have many Cov supporting mates, all Leicester but I put up with the stick.

I did get the chance to give a man of the match award out in 1996 when we lost 1-0 though.

enough about me, let’s keep it on topic.

This was a regular occurrence back then and the guy could Have a drink issue and needs help.

I really despise the bloke but I wouldn’t wish this upon him.

Even if it's a one off it doesn't hurt to check in on someone with past form for it.

A bloke who I lived with at the time said there was a tramp in our garden - he knew nothing about football but said “he looks like Brian Clough” and indeed it was!

Your story would've trumped his if you'd said it was with a sober Kevin Thornton.

He was on Five Live earlier and sounded fine. He speaks well as a pundit anyway.

Well he naturally speaks like he's just got to the sour bit of a sweet but apart from that I agree
