A really feisty Edinburgh derby last night apparently and at 1-1 Hearts thought they had scored a late winner, only to then have it disallowed.

Lennon then deliberately turns to the Hearts fans and goads them and someone throws a coin that hits him in the face.

Can never condone anyone throwing anything from the crowd, by why goad the fans? He's kind of inviting such a reaction isn't he?

Unfortunately in that clip from the Beeb it only sees him being hit, but on BBC Breakfast they showed the bit where he was goading the Hearts fans and telling them to sit down. He was really giving it the big un.

Why invite the wrath in the first place?

Looks like he took a dive as well. He was really giving it loads to their fans as well.

I know it's wrong to throw coins but imagine how chuffed you would be with yourself if you lobbed it and it got him clean in the head.

It would be like when you throw some paper and it goes straight in the bin.

He's a grade A twat. I don't care for hearts vs hibs but his goading even made me angry. Fans can do it but not managers. Imagine being the oppo manager seeing him do that. Doesn't the coin hit him on the shoulder as well?

I don't mind Lennon, he gets dogs sectarian abuse from the loyalist contingents, even as one of the north's better players playing for his country. Good luck to him. He's a decent manager as well.

Obviously people shouldn't be throwing coins but you have to laugh. Went down like he'd been shot!

Yes, indeed.

Saw it first time and had great sympathy with him. Then saw the replay though and him goading the fans and the coin not even hitting him in the face and it totally changed my feeling towards the incident.

Still entirely wrong though and I hope they ban the fan for life who threw it.

I wonder if when he threw it, the guy was singing 'Instant Karma's going to get you'.

Likely I would say, cos the next line is 'gonna knock you right in the head'.
