We beat Forest, I know it's only 1 game but the topics after it were roughly:
  • Obligatory SISU out post
  • one titled Negatives
I couldn't see 1 topic that actually had any good things to say about a much needed win when we could have easily won 3-1 - 1 outstanding Lee Camp save, header against the bar, Bell had a good crack and 1 went in.

I now see another topic that is moaning that 2 of our players got in the team of the week, and only 1 person's pointed out that maybe, just maybe, Murphy and Hussey deserved to be.

What is it with Cov fans (and it is - the Barnsley forums were filled with topics about the team starting to gel and things looking up after they beat us - their first home win in a while I believe...) that means we can't ever enjoy something?

I appreciate things haven't suddenly changed and chances are we're not going to start flying up the table, but a little bit of good feeling would be nice. It's getting depressing checking up on this forum and seeing another topic about why we're going down or that OMG SISU have done something else now!

Rant over for now.

It was me who started the "Negatives" thread, but if you read it again you will see that it was full of positives too.

Didn't see any moaning on this matter. I stated that I thought Camp had a better game. He made more saves, made the best save and also played the whole game. The goal Juke scored gave him no chance. How many applauded Camp after that save, or at least acknowledged it was a good save? None of this is saying Murphy didn't have a good game. Just a difference of opinion.

BTW you won't find many fans more optimistic or giving praise to our players/manager than by myself when it is deserved.

sheepy you need to be realistic though, read my previous psots,im all for positivity but

hussey should be nowhere near team of the week-FACT
it was an avg 0-0 performance that we managed to win, great to see us get 3 points and battle well but it wasnt stellar and we didnt look great.
if you wanna count bell and jukes chances dont forget millers in first half and header in 2nd,perhaps it could have been 3-3?

it was a good weekend, rather than focus on negatives i personally think i am not getting carried away with false positives

Exactly, so really - all the positive threads on here are negative, and negative's are positive... My mind is blown :thinking about:

CC4LIFE,the stats obviously dissaree with your view on hussey ,i'm not going to repeat what have said in other threads,Second half we were absolutely buzzing ,playing at tempo zipping good passes ,interchanging ,in fact we were bossing it ,till the injuries broke the momentum, you are generally positive and if we had lost i'm sure you'd be bigging them up to keep the faith while i would be on a downer ,for me taking the game in isolation that was our most effective performance this season and every one of them deserve pluadits ,its a paradox how the moods reverse .

in first half he was hiding, ran ball out of play and overhit crosses, did improve in 2nd half,he wasnt horrendus but wasnt good either

i felt the performance was worthy of 0-0,we nicked it but i wasnt voerly pleased,we didnt have a smuch possesdsion as usual under thorn i felt,at least thats how i felt watching the game

opinions differ, i get that

Drop the comedy. It doesn't become you. Ohh and the drop the Lord moniker too. I can't abide arrogance and feelings of self importance in people.
