Just cleared out an old drawer and came across an old programme.

Without using Google or checking, can you name the season we had a 21,500 average gate, Clinton Morrison and Marlon King were among the leading scorers in the division, we had just lost at Leicester last time out and our squad included Osbourne, McSheffrey, and Fulop?

Answers on a postcard....well you get the idea:

Average gate 21k
I thought according to some even with success that is not possible?

Bring on the 12k stadium which is purely down to apathy and not the product on the pitch

It was 2005/6 season. This was the team that faced Stoke that day:

Fulop, Whing, Hall, Page, Ady Williams, Hughes, Duffy, Doyle, Adebola, McSheffrey, Scowcroft.

Subs: Stern John, Andy Morrell, Clayton Ince, Claus Jorgensen and Issac Osbourne.

Where are they now?

Cant's YOU have a day off? I don't think I've ever known a forum admin be so aggressive and negative towards posters simply for having views that don't match their own.

Christ, that was hardly aggressive now was it? Go get back in your cotton wool ball poppet.

It doesn't matter if I set the forum up or not, I'm just the same as every other member on here.

We should slag this new pathetic Sisu stadium at every opportunity.
Get our Queen embedded into the Wasps nest with a long term favourable deal first and if it can't be done then tell us why.
I refuse to accept anything else whilst Sisu keep us in the dark with just high level statements.

Shame you make such a comment when you have no idea about my passion for the players on the pitch. I would not be cheeky enough to question your passion for the players on the pitch. Because I know nothing about you and it would be rude and ignorant for me to do so.

I know that our club can get 21k average crowds and that we have been starved of any success for so long that we are getting the crowds we get today. It pissed me off that people slagged off our fans and blame the fans themselves for poor attendances.

Yes I am passionate about the players and the product on the pitch. I know how the decisions by the owners affects what we see on the pitch. I know that initially suggesting a 12k capacity stadium shows how little our understand about the potential this great club has.

So yes I won't take a day off from challenging anything that our owners do off the pitch that negatively affects our players on the pitch. My passion against what's happens off the pitch is driven by how it affects our players and our fans.

If you can't see the correlation between the two then more fool you.

Get back to your obsession with one or two fans who apparently said Francising in Northampton is bad but Francising in rugby is good. I have got a clue who you keep referring to and I don't think anyone else does. However I am sure it must be a really important as you have mentioned it about 5 times

You aren't the same as every member on here though, are you? You get away with things that other people don't and you should at the very least be capable of following forum rules.

Regarding your comment to me, well that's just being an immature, patronising WUM, isn't it? What does it say in your rules about that? You've insulted users on numerous occasions, too. You hate hypocrisy but are utterly incapable of seeing how guilty of it you are yourself. That's meta-hypocrisy.

The principle reason that I use this forum less is because I got sick to death of your patronising, offensive attitude. You really are a dick.

You are quite right to challenge, just not on every thread. There are plenty of threads to do it on.

As for the people I talk about, it's quite clear

This was a light hearted football thread.

On here, there is none which is what I was refering to in the original post. In real life I can't comment, just your online persona.

It may well be very different irl and I hope it is.

Somebody starts a football thread, no need for that comment really was there?

As I said, your online persona on here. I don't need to eXplain, just look at your post history.

I couldn't comment on you in person as I have never met you, just dongo on here.

Why does it need to go from "guess the year" to "we should push about this new stadium, SISU out, NOPM rar rar".

It is nice to talk about football sometimes, the past on the pitch without ruining it isn't it?

You don't need to explain?
Fine just make throw away accusations without substantiating them.
I assume you are suggesting I never post on a football thread? If so I suggest maybe you have a look before spouting crap.

I won't hold my breath for an apology. However like I say you don't know what I am like as a supporter. I do post on the football related threads about what I think is wrong at the moment and what is right. The players I think we need to release and sign.

However I will post more frequently about the off the field stuff. If that doesn't get sorted a lot if what is happening on the pitch will never get sorted.

On the pitch is quite simple for me stick to 4-4-2 our players don't seem comfortable with anything else.

Address the balance in the squad. 2 players in each position of equal capability. That can be achieved by releasing Noble, Pugh, Tudguy. Mcqoid. Jackson, Barton and Clarke ( if SP won't use them) Allsop
Get Hines, Madine, Pen till the end of the season. Sign a tough CM two strikers and two wingers. An experienced goalie.

If you bothered to look at my post history before making such a flippant generalisation you will find I post on the football threads.

I think you are just not understanding the significance of the impact the off the field stuff has on what happens on field. So yes you may see 3 posts about off field stuff per one post about what is on the pitch. How you can use that to question someone's passion about the team beggars belief.

I get your point about that and I don't have an issue with that.
I have an issue with you questioning my passion for the players on the pitch.

That I feel was not called for, was not correct and was based on your own theory that if someone who cares about the club posts more about the off field stuff it means they care less about the team.

I feel passionately about both I post about both however I feel a lot of what happens off the pitch is causing what we see on the pitch.

You shouldn't question a fans passion for the players on the pitch based on their post history. When they post on both on field and off field threads. They just post more on the of field thread because they understand how this impacts on the on field stuff.

Out of interest what's your post history ratio like for posting on on field matters and off field matters?

The average ticket price was £11 and gates were artificially high due to the Ricoh factor.

Oh and we were financially a basket case and about to go bust.

Ah a fellow fan who is not passionate about the team, welcome.
You need to get your ratio up Grendel. I see you post in the football threads, however you don't meet my threshold so I now get to judge you as not been passionate about the 11 on the pitch.
