Come on guys, who can get in and quickly?
Some say get someone like Phillips who could do a job the rest of the season.
Some want to try the kids and look at a goal getter in the lower leagues for inspiration (we tried that before with Cody McDonald and others)

So what's the answer to help keep us rolling and push for the playoffs? Maybe even two strikers to be honest.

WHO?

That Cody McDonald bloke you mentioned he is scoring one in every 2.3 games in the division below, maybe worth a shout

Jake Cassidy and Grant Holt

That will do it !

Yer, cancel the Holt idea. Linked with Celtic and Leeds and is on £28k a week !

Jordan Bowery from Villa and Nimley from Man City on loan up front (wages dependant)

Steal Fillip Kiss on loan for the midfield bite

We missed out on Jamie Ness but I think he is only on a one month loan so maybe see if we can poach.

Jay Emmanuel Thomas- playing well for a poor Bristol City.
Then someone like Kevin Phillips for Callum to learn from

For me when you look at what is available it would be Leon for 5 months. Then sell him in the summer.

Lyle Taylor from Sheffield United, play under Pressley and has a magnificent goal scoring record and scored two goals against us earlier in the season, has age on his side as well..

Least we forget we all freaked out when Marlon left (end of the world) replaced by McGoldrick who left (end of the world) replaced by Leon who is about to leave (end of the world) - every confidence in SP unearthing another striker or two.

I don't get the obsession with Kevin Phillips. Miles past it and should just retire. No pace, no effort, a bit of quality for 20 mins. What's the point?

I personally think Jay Emanuel Thomas or a swap with Wolves for one of those?

Signing players us the one untested area really for us when it comes to SP

His managerial and motivational skills on the face of it seem second to none.

The style of football he fancies seems on the face of it very entertaining.

Signing players ???

Did really get a chance so far TBF

Manset did not work out
Dragnall needs to be judged over a season
Webster probably the best he could get for free at the time

Seaborne looks the part.

He has signed the following since joining.

1) Webster
2) Urquart
3) Manset
4) Slager

All on very minimal wages and none or virtual no fee. Urquat and Slager were signing for the development squad

Its not as if he has blown 2 million on Freddie Eastwood.

Players who are free and cheap, it's normally for a reason

To put it into persepective, I'd be shocked if all 4 signings combined meet Richard Woods wage !

I wouldn't if he'd swap Scotland to play under Pressley again??

Paul Gallagher I think his loan is up at Preston

He is Scottish

Knows he way around a pitch and could partner a more nimble quicker inexperienced loanee

Futacs could be an interesting option as well

I am not having a go at him. I am saying we don't know yet if he has the eye to sign a good player.

He can't be judged due to the circumstances this January is likely to be when we find out.

Bradford are tracking Dagenham & Redbridge forward Rhys Murphy as they look to bring in a replacement for Nahki Wells. Former Arsenal trainee Murphy has impressed at Dagenham this season, scoring 12 goals and Bradford are now weighing up a move for the Republic of Ireland Under 21 international.

The problem as I see it in getting a new player in at this time of year is that a lot of other clubs are looking too because they are either looking at promotion, playoffs, stave off relegation or to stay in a league. Most other clubs are a far better proposition than us and this is where I see us struggling, because if there is someone decent or even half decent then someone else is going to pay more than us and offer more than us. Personally I would try and keep Leon until the end of the season because with Wilson out for at least 2 months we need someone hitting the net now and consistently. A new striker would need time to bed in and the way we leak goals I still would like a good few more points to be safe of relegation. If Pressley can identify and line up another defender, defensive midfielder and a striker before Leon goes then let him go, I just cannot see Sisu/Otium doing that, I just think they will take what money they can get for him, all this noise from Waggot etc about taking a firm stance for a club like ours is bollocks.

Is it not worth looking at Stephen Elliott again? Still a free agent I think. Experienced, something that's gonna be hard to find in January. Got a decent work rate.

I cannot see past Jay Emmanuel Thomas. Hes 23 and I think would definitely come to the sky blues. Wont be on any more money than Clarke and at such a young age could learn so much from SP. Big strong lad with a lot of pace. sign him up

He is under contract at Bristol City. Why would they sell him and even if they did, I would suggest it would cost more than we will get for Clarke

SISU say SP has money to spend regardless of selling Clarke- We dont want to sell Clarke but its astonishing how much power a player has.

Sell Clarke but looks like its not wolves? Cant see them signing Dicko and Clarke. If they do wolves win the league at a canter.
