Yeah so this thread is going to sound a little odd !

Most of you know I'm a Lifelong Cov fan, living in Norfolk. Had a season ticket while I lived in Northants until I moved up to Norfolk when I was 15, I then went 4 or 5 times a season with my Dad, also a lifelong Cov fan till he died, aged 40. Since then I've gone to the footy sporadicly with mates and other family members. I've got a 5 year old Daughter of my own Demi, middle name "Sky" after the Sky blues and this coming season I've decided it's the right time to start going every week again, home and hopefully most of the away games too.

having left Northants 15 years ago, I'm now 30 and don't have one mate that supports Cov, I've got a few that look out for the Cov score due to me but the only people I talk about Cov too are you lot on here. So my question is, anybody on this forum that's of a similar age that fancies meeting up for a pint at some point during the season ? It would be nice to be "shown the ropes", I'll be coming down on my own for half the games and will hopefully get to know some of the other season ticket holders around where I'm sitting, Block 21 Row KK but really it would just be nice to have a beer with a few of you before a game.

dont worry I'm not some creepy weirdo desperately seeking friendship lol, I'll just be spending a lot of time down Cov way next season and it will be a bit boring sat in the boozer on my tod !

You know, where do most of the fans go before a match for a beer, where's best to go after the game where I'm im not likely to get stabbed, that sort of thing !

Depends if you've been reading 50 Shades of Grey or not.

Well I'm normally in the casino having a beer a couple of hours before the kick off every game so would very happily ract about the city with you over a beer. To be honest, its a nice atmosphere in there before the game, normally people will naturally mingle anyway so dont worry that you will be on your own. Welcome back to pain and agony by the way! Lets hope its different this year

Yeah - happy to meet for a beer. Going to be taking my 6 year lad and his 8 year old sister to some games and other games me and my mate go. Usually have a beer in Craftsman or Casino. I live just off A14 at Leics end so could get something organsied.

Not gone for season ticket - but I'll do a decent number of home games and some away.

Thanks for your replies folks both genuine and amusing !

I'll revive this thread closer to the season start and see who's up for a pre-game beer. First game I'll be going to is the Cambridge friendly, only half hour on the train from me

Cheers lads

Whereabouts do you live? My parents moved out that way a while back.
