Try an educated guess. They normally have breaking news from a few hours to a day after its mentioned on here

Some sky blue tinted glasses on with valuations of MVE here... An asset, no doubt, but better going forward than defensively. Let's hope KKH is ok, then we won't have a lack of pace on the right of defence at the start of the season...

You may be right on the valuations!

But does anyone else think this re; MVE being better going forward than defensively?

Despite his playoffs mistake, I’ve always thought the opposite tbh; much better defensively than going forward. When he first signed, I was expecting him to be more of an attacking outlet than he was due to the talk about his pace.

In theory they can't, however I was listening to Podcast the other day where a former footballer explained how it actually works in the real world.

Wolfsburg will identify the player and then go to his agenct and have a conversation "Hypethetically would your player be interested in joining our club" "And if he was what sort of financial package would he require". It's not tapping up because they haven't directly approached the player, but the agent would then no doubt have the same Hyperthetical conversation with the player. Then the agent goes back to the Wolfsburg and gives a thumbs up or thumbs down. Wolfsburg then go ahead and approach us with an offer.

The other way is as people point out, Wolfsburg have come to us and asked for permission to speak to him and we've said yes pending negotiation of the transfer fee.

It’s a struggle now I would guess for them as King has made it so hard for anything to leak out . I guess they like us have to feed off whatever scraps they can get. Times are very different now

If this happens then thanks Milan for the 2 years and good luck. Supporters need to get used to this model as its the sensible way to progress the club. Take the profit and reinvest, develop, sell and go again. It may not be household names being signed but it will be the higher end younger players that have a future in bigger leagues than the championship who want to develop and know they will play, with a path way they can buy into. Its the blueprint for financial stability but the pressure to find the diamonds in the rough for the recruitment team will be intense.

Yeah you're right there, that's the Brentford model that we wanted to follow. Buy players, develop them, sell for a decent profit and reinvest the cash. Keep building, improving the income and adding to the value of the squad. For players the Championship is a good stepping stone / route into the Premier League.

Any journalist worth their weight in gold would surely be trying to liaise with their counterparts in Wolfsberg, or with those which are pushing out these tweets, to see if they can gleam any further information.

It might not necessarily come to anything, as any information they have available they'd probably want to keep close to their chests so they get the exclusive.

But surely it's more proactive than regurgitating stuff from Twitter.

What does Turner actually do?

I genuinely can't remember the last time I read anything breaking from the Telegraph, but then again the world has changed. The breaking stories are all on X now but there is nothing stopping the likes of Turner doing the same and using that platform.

Posting clickbait stories, with regurgitated content and/or rumours from forum is embarrassing.

I dunno man, Andy Turner looks a bit too strait laced for that. Maybe if he gets a face tattoo first, then I could see it suiting him.

Seems a low fee considering his old club have a sell on fee.

Although if it means we buy Doyle than fair enough

This is the price if it's in the CET by end of the day, otherwise, we are looking at 8 million plus add-ons, rounding off to a cool 10 million, stuff that in your pipe and smoke it.
