A lot of that was down to pressure from the organisers of the English World Cup bid, only a few big wigs at United bought into it, but ultimately they went along with it.

Ferguson and the players didn't want to go.

But I agree, it did a lot of damage.

This season so far has been beyond anything I've experienced in over 50 years supporting CCFC, so let's ride the wave and do the double by winning the League and the FA Cup.
