But isn't the local politician with the best skillset to attempt to mediate and resolve this... our beloved Geoffrey Robinson?
His political leanings see him aware of the needs of a Labour dominated council, whereas his business dealings see him able to empathise with the motives of an organisation like SISU. Moreover, he's got experience with the likes of Craigavon of the merits of offshore trusts...
Add to that, whatever your personal feelings about him, the fact he surives in politics to this day shows his awareness of the need to play the game, to talk to people on their terms rather than butt heads.
Nobody else around in the local area however can have an awareness of local needs, and an empathy with ideological positions of both sides of the divide...

i like what you are saying northern wisdom. but their lye's the problem, because he has the right skill set and contacts and a certain degree of clout to get the situation resolved i would doubt Joy would meet him. hence the Nikki Sinclair meeting.
i'm not one of his constituents but i don't think it would do any harm to put pressure on him if he is your local MP. he does work for you after all.

my point is Joy will only settle this on her terms, i would hope that everyone has realised this by know.
because she will only settle this on her terms it serves her no purpose to meet Robinson as he may actually be able to do something about it which would mean she would have to renegotiate her terms.
but that said, their is no harm in Robinson applying his political clout if he can be persuaded to do so by his constituents.
he has the special privileges to state whatever fact he likes in parliament and is immune from prosecution, so if he can get to the bottom of things and their is dirt on shitsu or indeed acl/ccc he can spill the beans and there is not a thing they could do about it. another reason that Joy or ACL/CCC might not want him involved
