"I have generally found every team is very similar and Colchester fit into the remit of being another hard working team in the first division."

Kids for quid? "It's always important that the fans get behind their team but it's been difficult at home this season with results the way they have been. It's been a difficult atmosphere.
"It's not going to fill the stadium but hopefully we'll get a few more. The bottom line is to start winning football matches and then the fans will come back, so we have to get the three points and encourage more to come the next time."

I reckon this is our most important game of the season - particularly with everyone else at the bottom playing each other.

if you can possibly make it to the match - please please do.

There should be a mass PR message sent out to all fans saying that!

Maybe the CT could do an article with all the phone numbers and links to buy tickets in it :thinking about:

More likely a photo special showing all the empty seats.

It sounds cliche but now is the time to stand up and get behind the team, get your arses down the Ricoh and be loud and proud on Saturday!!

Whenever we get a bigger crowd this spineless lot bottle it so we may be better off with a regular size crowd.

Does seem that way. Small crowd and its hard because there's no atmosphere, big crowd and its hard because they're under pressure. Maybe we should play it at Sixfields was it just coincidence that our best home form for years occurred there?

From a Colchester fans forum.... To be fair to the original poster he did back track later on and was more sympathetic.

But, let's prove the original post wrong.

Coventry roll call on 01:02 - Apr 9 by Barsidepete

Will be there in spirit. Shy Blues fans, they don't show anymore. Pitiful for a club like that to no longer have home supporters. Reckon the songs from the away faithful will drown out the climbers. That's not a home ground for them. It's a graveyard. Almost a neutral site. Cov fans should be embarrassed.

Considering what they've been through just to get back to a stadium in Coventry, think those are pretty insensitive and poorly considered comments to be honest Pete.

Sadly no, but I'm hoping for a larger gate than recently and a bit more atmosphere.

He's pretty well summed it up.
What are the Climbers to which he refers?

It makes you wonder why the club aren't saying it? They should be doing everything they can to get the fans back. It is their future as well as ours.

Suffokskyblue, nice to hear from you, I have just realised the Oldham game is Tuesday night , I think it is, not next Saturday when I make the journey to take my daughter back.
i won't get back from work to diss on Tuesday till 5-45 and there's no way we'd make it to the Ricoh for a 7-30 kick off.
if tuesday is unlikely ,which it seems it is , we must fit in a game together before seasons end, I do fancy the Creepy Crawley game if we have something to play for.
