I'll reserve judgement until I'm satisfied he's the right man for the job. I hope he is, but I've been a CCFC supporter for over 50 years and just don't get excited at the drop of a hat any more.

On the face of things , this appears to be the best managerial appointment at ccfc for a few years .
I dont know what waggott has said to him but fair play (for a change).
I wouldve been pleased with mowbray in the championship let alone league 1 .

Nice one, could definitely have done a lot worse than Mowbray. Bearing in mind some on here insisted that no one would want the job.

Absolutely. Like Houch says, reserve judgment, but I haven't felt this excited about a manager appointment in a long time... If ever!

As a FAN I obviously have never wanted Mowbray at the club and this delay makes me question the move all the more

Sisu's last throw of the dice to get the fans onside with them. They know if they bought in a no mark and we went down that would be all but the end for CCFC

At last!! been watching that bloody Telegraph feed all day. Definitely worth the wait in my eyes. I can't remember the last time I was this excited about a managerial appointment so I'm off to attempt a cartwheel before executing a triple backflip down the middle of the street!

Tony Mowbray's Sky Blue Army! (Fits perfectly).

Nice one Waggo!! You don't get too many plaudits from me but you definitely deserve a pie tonight.

All we need now is at least a point tomorrow night and it will set us up perfectly for Saturday's welcoming. I sense a bumper crowd of maybe 11,000!!

PUSB!

I'd have been happy with Mowbray in the championship so fair play to them for pulling this one out of the hat.

Glad you're all so excited and renewing your season tickets. But he hasn't managed a single game yet. I'll wait to see what he says when he is officially unveiled, what team he picks for his first game and how long it takes before his first win. Unless he can perform miracles, we are still in serious danger of relegation. It's not just what we do now, but what the other teams do as well. He wouldn't be the first messiah brought in to save a team that failed.

Very good manager to get in our circumstances.

I would have preferred Rossler. His record is immense and includes success in our division.

However I have been surprised to hear Boro fans still talking fondly about Mowbrays management which is very encouraging.

Plus with our current plight and the bad PR from the pathetic move to Northampton this is quite a signing
