I'd be happy with that. As good an appointment as we could hope for, while in this League for sure.

Just to add fuel to the fire I'll point out that Andy Turner from CET tweeted it 3 mins before Steve from the observer #JournoBants

"He was the first person interviewed for the job and was approached by chief executive Steve Waggott rather than applying for the post."

"Will travel to Coventry tomorrow?"

1. Where has he been today? Have talks not taken in person?
2. Has no one told him we are travelling to Barnsley for a match tomorrow evening?

With Waggott being a Geordie, or from that region, anyone know if he's a proper Geordie or a Middleborough or Sunderland fan?

if Middlesborough, could this be the link?

Just a thought

Don't think the club could do any better, he has a good track record. I don't think relegation will happen now.

@Stuart_Linnell: @Coventry_City have confirmed that, "after a long day", Tony Mowbray is the new manager of the Sky Blues. More tomorrow on @BBCCovWarks

Interesting that no one else is offering "quotes" just yet.........
