Should the club wait till December to see how they are performing to offer them a new contract or is this something that needs sorting this pre-season?

i would sort it asap as we need a settled structure and i like mowbray despite the collapse and have faith in him

but can anything be done long term the way the club is being killed by council right now?

I agree with the above, we have no long term future yet, so no point making anything else long term at present.

I don't think mowbray will want to do anything before January .. Will depend how we do next season he will more then likely have championship offers in the summer especially if he is a free agent

I think he needs to be tied down to another couple of years. It fizzled out this year, admittedly, but I think he will get this right and I'd rather he extended now while he appears to be able to improve the team and before it goes any further tits up off the field.

Not something I'm going to worry about to be honest. If they want to stay they'll sign new deals if they don't they won't.

The telegraph will be holding off on this story until a few hours after something good happens no doubt.

Mowbray would be a mentalist to sign a new contract.
