FRANCK Moussa insists Coventry City fans haven't seen the best of him yet.
The versatile midfielder has impressed in the half a dozen games he's played since joining the Ricoh Arena on a short-term contract, arguably getting better with every game, particularly in his more favoured central role.

“Saturday was probably my best game since I came to the club,“ said the Belgian after the 2-2 draw at Swindon Town.

“It's my favourite position playing in the middle but I will do whatever the manager thinks works for the team and hopefully I can keep getting starts and helping get the points.

“I had a bit of trouble in the pre-season and it took time for me to get going. I had a pre-season at Forest but I had a little period where I wasn't doing as much when I was weighing up my options before I came to Coventry, which is a good opportunity for me. “When I first arrived I was thrown straight into games which is what you need to get match fitness, so I think I am getting there, little by little, and hopefully I can improve my performances.

“I definitely feel there's much more to come and the fitter I get the better it will be for everyone.“

As for his future beyond the New Year, when City have the option to trigger a longer term deal, the 23-year-old just wants to concentrate on his job in hand and let that take care of itself.

“I said when I first arrived that everyone has got their different role to play,“ he said.

“I do the football, the manager does whatever he has to do and other people as well. “I can’t really focus too much on things I can’t control.

“I just play my football and if things are positive on the pitch and in the league table then I am sure the outcome will be positive.” And, like a lot of his fellow new-comers, the former Leicester City player is enjoying his spell with the Sky Blues.

“There is a new manager and that can have a positive impact straight away. Sometimes it takes longer but fortunately it is starting to gel with the new players who are getting used to the gaffer and the rest of the squad, and trying to get results. And hopefully that will keep going up.” Reflecting on Saturday’s point, he echoed the views of most of a City persuasion, saying: “I was definitely disappointed and I am sure some of the lads as well because at 2-0 up we could have seen the game out by staying nice and solid and not conceding.

“When they got their first goal back the home crowd got behind them and we let the lead slip, which is not something we want to do.

“It’s a difficult place to go because Swindon are a club on the up and you can tell just looking around the stadium that people are really positive. We went there trying to get a result and in the end we got a little bit less than we could have got.

“Looking at what happened you would say losing the two players to injury didn’t help our shape but we can’t use that as an excuse. We have to get used to things changing in matches because people get injured all the time, so hopefully we can learn something from this.”

He has been very good in patches, need to improve his overall game to convince me he deserves a contract.

Didn't realise he was Belgian.

Belgian players are the new Brazilians, and I don't mean they wax their nether regions either.

Yeah i like him have heard good things and what i like is he realises this is a place to come get fit and play good football not just a little holiday. Would take him now permantly if it was an option but no doubt he will only be here for a short while.

He was a free agent when we got him and it does say in the article that his loan contract has an option for city to trigger a long term contract. This means we've made sure we have first dibs on him in January if nothing else! I for one hope he stays as I see a very promising young footballer in Moussa!
