We paid over £4 million for this guy, he's been with the squad over 3 months. I want him desperately to succeed after all the hype but thus far…..he lacks pace, spatial awareness, confidence, he has one step over option to take on players…..I just haven’t seen anything yet that makes me think we haven’t been done over for that money.I still think we need to give EMC time.
He may be low on confidence/struggling to adjust to the higher level, I don't know, but we need to give him more time than we have so far, rather than just write him off as shite after 9 games and he hasn't even featured in all them.

Unfortunately, I have to agree. At this point we’re more likely to turn into another Stoke, which is still better than where we were 6-7 years ago.That money was the worst thing that happened to us. Instead of our tried and tested method of finding diamonds in the rough, suddenly we were spunking money at anybody we could find. We will look back with huge regret and that financial mismanagement in years to come.

Spot on.Don’t buy this at all. We haven’t spunked our money away. If you look from a purely commercial perspective the value of - at least - Wright, Simms, MVE, Sakamoto, - has increased markedly. Our playing assets are now higher than ever and not centralised in one or two players.

When I say demand I mean they expect a team mate to be able to accept a pass so in a way encourage (much better word) a player to continually move into space to be available but we haven't got a player like that, Sheaf is our nearest to that but he doesn't really show me that he encourages muchA good midfield general drops into pockets of space and makes themselves available Nothing to do with demanding, they find space and know what the best option is for them. It maybe give it back to the same player who gave it to them
What is important is they keep moving and keep giving options. They create and maintain tempo in the passing. That is what undose teams, not possession. That is where stats fall down, they see possession as a flat stat that is all good.
We just don't have a Bannan or a Hogg. We have Sheaf but I don't think he is Premiership quality, not even the best at Championship level.
