Not football-related but a tenuous link.........Some years ago, my grandfather retired from his job as Chief Lavatory Attendant at a well-known tourist attraction in the North West of England. To mark the occasion, his employer gave him a farewell lunch attended by many of his colleagues and presented him with a gold watch.

During the presentation, he was asked what had changed most during his years of service. Being immensely proud of the service he provided and the cleanliness of the facilities he was responsible for, he bemoaned the increasing number of druggies, tramps and other unsavoury characters who frequented his facilities, so much so that 'whenever anyone comes in for a straight sit, it is like a breath of fresh air'.

Not a football ground for me but Swindon Speedway. Disgusting doesn't even describe it.

When I was at RAF Lyneham during the '70s, I went to Swindon Speedway regularly and stood with a bunch of Swindon supporters on the back straight. Being a Bees supporter, I used to cheer for the visiting team, whoever they were. We had some great banter and laughs.

Yes, that's very true. Swindon were the worst though.

Which stadium that you have visited had the most stinky toilets? It would have to be Fratton Park for me.
