Seems to be a lot of chatter about needing more unity but we are already more united that we perhaps realise. 'Division' always attracts a lot more media and other attention but an overwhelming majority of fans are united in their core views.

For starters, would anyone on here disagree with these three points:

we want to be back at the Ricoh
acl have questions to answer
sisu are not good for ccfc

I agree with those points.

Good post, people are united on common causes...it doesn't mean you have to agree on everything and every minor detail.

I agree.

Do think some people don't want us to go back to the Ricoh though, which I find rather odd. For me it's a great stadium and only cold and soulless because of the lack of success on the pitch.

I do think we should all want all 3 of the above.

Really??
I think everyone would jump at the chance to return to the Ricoh, soulless or not. (except RFC who is obviously a WUM)

Andreas B keeps saying how much he apparently dislikes the Ricoh. Think there's a few to be honest. Say it's cold, soulless, too big and a bit of a white elephant.

It may be soulless, but it's in Coventry, so that's the clincher for me. Like you say previously, a decent team would provide a decent atmosphere.
Everyone knows the new stadium won't be built, so where would the Ricoh haters like to play?

I'll agree with all of those points.

If we do get back to the Ricoh, it'll only be soulless if the club keep seeing matchday experience as someone else's job. There's loads of ideas for improving a ground like the Ricoh floating around, they just need to use a few.

There is fans who do not want to go back to the Ricoh with SISU in charge. But lets take it a step at a time. Get home first, then get the owners out!

Pete from chelysmore on the sky blue phone in and RFC on here wouldn't want an immediate return as it would go against their anti CCC/ACL /Higgs agenda. They have all good issues but we need our club back in the city playing to 10,000 crowds before we drift into oblivion.

Just my opinion but, in 2003 CCC, higgs, acl, and ccfc all implemented a rental agreement that they all knew wouldn't work. None of them had the guts to say this at the time, and decided to just postpone the problem.

That for me is where the council need to take some of the blame (although the club also are to blame for this)

The most ironic thing about the rental agreement was the fact that Paul Fletcher was working for ACL and pretty much headed up the negotiation team that struck the deal with the club. He then went to work for the club and said he deal was bad for the club.
I guess he would argue that he was getting the best deal for ACL at the time but to screw down your anchor tenant to a deal that would potentially finish it is somewhat short sighted and makes no long term business sense at all.

I may be wrong but I believe West Ham are going to rent the Olympic Stadium for £2.5 mil. a year & Hearn the Leyton Orient Chairman thinks they are getting a bargain.

At a cost to the taxpayer in excess of the entire RICOH build .

The first point, I will not attend a home game while SISU are at the helm of my club whether that home game is played at Sixfields, the Ricoh or Timbuktu. Although, as I have explained I accept that is what most fans want and will go along with it.

Give them 7-10 seasons and relegation to the championship it will soon go tits up and they'll realise the rent is far too high.

Cc4l speaks for himself alone though. He's not fronting a group with hopes of bringing our club home. So he's totally free to act childish and wind people up.

I've just worked out how much we are even more united!

We all like breathing.
We all like eating.
We all like football.

I'm sure you will all agree with me. Validate me.
