Yeah but no crowds say £10/head, what? 15k attendances? That’s £3.45m over a season (assuming iFollow is cancelled out by corporate and programs and whatever).

O’Hare, Hamer and James alone are £1.5m/year according to rumours, there’s the £5m gone already.

Id be very surprised if we didn’t lose money this season.

Well James only joined us in January but I see your point and we can only speculate at the wages of the rest. My main worry re next season is we're probably committed to a fair whack on Sheaf who's totally fallen out of favour.

In reality you ain't going to turn over that many players in one window. Focus on the 2 or 3 most urgent areas to improve on and bring quality in for while trying to develop the rest.

Yes of course. Just highlighting how much of the squad isn’t quality championship players and that is to be expected. We just got promoted. Big area for me that needs sorting is the GK and defence, then our attacking midfield options.

Yep agree with that, though really we'll also need more strength up front. Can't fix all those problems in one window unfortunately.

I wonder if he;'s going to look at wingers or wide forwards so we can change shape if we want to next year.

Sheaf will get his chance. He’s young and still learning, we had the option of choosing experience in the middle with James and Kelly plus COH and Hamer, so its just unfortunate for Sheaf that it is one area where we have options. His time will come, he’s a good player and I’m sure MR views him as a permanent signing now.

Well Hilssner, Jones, Jobello and KASTA could all play there but three have bombed and the other is perennially injured.

I rate him as well, I just remember the game where our only sub was Sheaf coming off for Shipley and you could tell he was pissed off.

If we stay in the Championship then the summer is going to be pretty brutal for the squad. There has to be a big clear out to enable us to progress next season. A lot of the players are not at this level:

Marosi
Wilson
Rose
Fadz
Hyam
Dacosta
Shipley
Allen
Hilsner
Sheaf (no idea if we can back out of deal)
Kasta
Jobello
Baka

Loan players gone:

Osti
McCallum
James
Viktor

That’s nearly 17 players. Of course Robins will probably keep some like Marosi, Rose and Sheaf (if we have to sign him).

Huge churn coming and the recruitment department are going to have to be on their A game, as I’ve not been convinced by a lot of the signings

They're not going to have a clear out of double figure numbers of players, it is just not feasible with the current financial position.

Yep, agreed. I'd like us to sign Sheaf even if we have an option to back out of the deal (not sure if we do or don't...)
Kelly isn't getting any younger, and not sure what we'll do with Matty James so he'll get chances to push for a place in the team

He is isn’t he. I think he’d have been playing if he wasn’t.

Is it possible that Sheaf's lack of starts could have something to do with CCFC being able to back out of the purchase deal, should the so wish ?

If be surprised if we sign James. He's a decent player but I think wages may well rule us out.

Would be a weird deal where the player plays three quarters of available games and doesn’t trigger the clause.

Only six players in the squad have played more games than Sheaf.
