Montenegro v England
European Championship Qualifying Group G
7th Oct 2011 KO 20:00
Ground: Stadion Pod Goricom
Catch all the action live on Sky Sports HD1 and SS1

England need only a point from their Group G qualifier in Montenegro on Friday night to secure their place at Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine next summer.

The Three Lions are six points clear of Montenegro, who had been England's biggest rivals following a goalless draw at Wembley in October 2010.

The hosts enjoyed a flying start to their campaign in Group G, but have been undermined recently after taking just one point from games against Bulgaria and Wales.

England news

Capello has no concerns over playing star striker Wayne Rooney in the wake of his father's arrest over an alleged football betting scam.

Rooney's 48-year-old father, also named Wayne, has been bailed pending further inquiries, although Capello has no worries over the striker.

"I found him relaxed and calm," Capello said of Rooney. "There is no problem for the game, he will play against Montenegro."

Who partners Rooney remains a mystery with Manchester United club colleague Danny Welbeck vying with Darren Bent, Bobby Zamora and Andy Carroll to get the nod.

Welbeck has been in blistering form this term with five goals in six games although Bent, Zamora and Carroll have also been in good form for their respective clubs.

Capello also has a decision to make at right-back with Manchester United's Chris Smalling out of action with a groin injury. Tottenham's Kyle Walker and Micah Richards of Manchester City are hoping to play, although Phil Jones is also a strong contender.

With experienced defender Rio Ferdinand not involved because of his fitness following an indifferent start to the campaign the Gary Cahill and John Terry partnership is expected to continue.
