What is happening with all the money people are saving by observing the NOPM campaign? I would have thought the trust could organise a fund that people could donate what they would have spent on football that could be put towards trying to purchase the club. People crow on about getting rid of Sisu, but what happens if they decide to bail? There are no contingency plans in place.

I'm sure if Portsmouth fans can raise the required cash then Coventry fans could. Or are people not as bothered as they make out?

Are you really suggesting I Save all my NOPM in a jar and then give it to the next possible set of buffoons that take over our club be it a trust , Owners , whatever guise it may take.

I don't know how much I haven't spent..how much is a ticket for a sixfields game?
How much are cobbler pies?

Do what you like with it. Just want to know why people aren't bothered enough to contribute cash towards a buyout but will go to pointless hill protests. As I say, if Pompey can raise the cash sure we can. If/when Sisu decide to liquidate it'll be a mad rush to sort something.

That is your view..

If SISU won't sell, the Money in the jar is equally pointless!

They won't keep taking horrendous losses forever though. They will have to sell or liquidate.

I know of a hedge fund that would probably agree with you!

Or cut costs right down to the equivalent of a lower conference budget which is what our "home" crowds are.

Have they even bothered to try and raise funds like this? Going to need to sell a heck of a lot of wristbands!

Wasn't that the entire premise of the trust?

Or get the backroom staff organised, youth and first team organised and playing well, sounds like a 3-5 yr plan to me, like it or not!

Not really as ffp will soon require most of that team to be sold.

I think we league will grant the club dispensation over FPP - either way FPP doesn't force selling anyone.

I gave up booze 15 years ago and fags 12 years ago and since then I've saved £75,600 as a result...crazy huh?! Don't ask me where it's gone.....seen a lot of City games though, but none at sixfields!

Well they'll be leaving themselves wide open to legal action from the other 23 clubs if they do.

No they won't - there are plenty of loopholes and I repeat even if its applied in full they can still retain all players and still can sign 3 or 4 in January

Portsmouth fans only had to pay what the club was worth, not the amount a hedge fund claim to have put back in to the club. We could do with a few euro millions lottery winners then we are sorted!

On the whole "they are constantly losing money they will eventually sell up" I honestly don't think they ever will unless they get more than what they have put in. I honestly think she would rather liquidate than sell at a "loss".

On FFP I don't think it is worth really considering that. It's bollocks. The FL have shown they have no balls, and I can't see FFP changing that. How are they going to enforce it? What is the punishment for not following the rules? It wont work. Im fairly confident on that one.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW I actually agree for once!!

FFP will not work (properly). Even if it did, JS has an army of lawyers who have already proved they can make the FL hide away in the shadows.

Absolutely right. I get the the impression we've got a "special relationship" with the FL.

Also our squad cost is massively reduced from last season, especially with the bomb squad going. I'd wager its 30-50% of what it was.

Also true, our squad size and age is such that we could easily be given dispensation to bring 2-3 in.

Do you not think other clubs will get fed up of that and take legal action?

I wouldn't be happy if we went down because some other club cheated the FFP rules.

They will be given dispensation because the loss in revenue is down to not being able to stay at the Ricoh Arena, and rightly so (the dispensation not playing in Northampton).

Exactly. They gave us a lower points reduction due to exceptional circumstance of not exiting the CVA voluntarily and the effective eviction out of the city.

Most other clubs support the club itself in this from what we see - we will have FPP on the assumption we are playing in Coventry - if we didn't I'd expect us to take legal action.

Honestly couldn't say. I get the impression a lot of Chairmen are on Sisus side. They don't want the precedent set that you can't leave a rent agreement.
