I'm fairly certain that McCann will be confirmed but will there be anybody else?

And Wilson I would think. Andy Turner said paperwork held one up being announced on Friday.

McCann should definitely be announced tomorrow.

Wilson might be the other.

Hopefully some more defenders and striker to be announced.

I imagine Wilson and McCann will be announced tomorrow/over the week. Maybe another CM as Rose might be shifted wide right.

Two defenders hopefully + McCann
Tell you what, I'd have been a lot happier had Martin still been on board.

If we push Wilson through with McCann tomorrow then that's a serious statement of intent

That out and out goalscorer is missing. Hoping that is addressed.

Are we thinking at least 3 loans to come in considering last season? Probably after the big signings are done.

Well it's either that or kids or just plain shit when you're down in L1 I suppose. Would still like another CB regardless, am I right that it's just Ricketts and Willis at the moment?

Yeah and arguably stokes.

Reda is still knocking around training with us until he finds a deal elsewhere I think. Would imagine he'd sign some kind of shirt term deal with us if he doesn't find anywhere.

I would think we would be looking at a ST as a loan from a PL club...

Yeah, I expect the same model as last year: loan in goals, skill and pace. They're harder to find of the right quality and at the right price.

Mowbray spoke about missing ingredients last season. One of them I think was a big powerful striker. The lad we have been linked with today from Burnley looks the part.

I think we missed a potential gem in Nicky Clarke from Rangers. A good link player in the build up with a knack for being in the right place in the six yard box.

If we sign Kelvin Wilson
I think in him and Reda we would have a potentially fantastic centre half pairing my only concern would be keeping them fit
I would only play them in league games and a slightly easier training programme

Fantastic pairing for the physio room. Reminds me of Tommy Docherty saying to his striker on the treatment table "don't worry son, City have two bad backs."

Doesn't sound promising. To potentially go into Saturday's game with such a young trio of centre halves petrifies me. Why on earth did he release Martin without a guaranteed replacement (at least one) lined up?

But then again, we have no idea what the conversation was. Martin may have wanted assurances that Mowbray couldn't give so was best to move him on...

I think ricketts will play on Saturday will Harris and Willis, but do think we should have kept Martin and Phillips! But let's just see who he brings in, seems he's trying to get the best out of his budget, Wilson coming in would be a massive statement!

Good to have Callum Wilson back on the books.

He's way too good for this leageu so well done to TM, MV et al for managing to secure his services.

Don't make excuses for the 'messiah'.

It was a dick move to let him go.

So Saturday the team will be

RCC

Ricketts
Willis
Harries

Vlad
Rose
Mccan

Jones
Reid
Sordell

Not too bad on paper I suppose but its not very good planning.

1) we don't play that formation and

2) McCann is suspended for the first 3 games

3) that's only 10 men

It will likely be

RCC

Willis
Ricketts
Harries

Kelly-evans
Vlad
Rose
Haynes

Jones
Sordel
Reid
