Utter drivel.

Monaco isnt even the size of tile hill, shouldnt be losing to these.

If lampard doesnt pull this back and doesnt get a result at bristol hes going be on shaky ground.

KKH looks very accomplished with the ball at his feet, linking up well with those around him already, and not afraid to put his foot in either. Not going to judge him too harshly for the second goal as that could just be a fitness/sharpness issue and against a very good level team too.

Just looked and he's literally just turned 19 at the start of the month. Destroyed KKH for the goal.

Pleased with the shape. We bypassed their midfield numerous times with passes through the middle which we didn't do last season

So long as we don't pick up any injuries, it's always good to play decent opposition, rather than Nuneaton, Crawley, Forest Green etc. Makes players realise what they should be aspiring to.

Looking okay in parts, need to remember Monaco are a strong team. Grimes and Sheaf look okay, Perry also looks alright. Kk’s looks good going forward but defensively caught a few times. Thomas is stuck in mud. Brau looks like he’s not a winger so hard to critique. Sakamoto is just up against a good fullback and can’t get through, that’s where you need options which we don’t really have. Simms is… well Simms.

Again, despite people trying to convince themselves otherwise…Brau hasn’t been signed to play left wing. We just haven’t got two left wingers at the moment.

A natural left footer should still be able to control a boy regardless of whether he’s playing slightly higher up the pitch…

It's fancier and has more motor races, though, tbf.

Some good play through midfield at times. Wilson had no chance with either goal. Thomas could have done better for first. KKH got beaten for second.
Grimes, Sheaf, Rudoni & JDS did well. Brau looked a bit off the pace. Tats struggled to beat his man.

Top 6 finish feels achievable with this squad… Sheaf looks the part again

First 15 was really good. Sheaf and Grimes working well together, one-touch passing through their press. Then we just decided to stop.

Can tell Brau is not a natural winger. Saka and Rudoni both missed opportunities to slide Simms through on goal. Thomas very poor. Perry looks good on the ball.

Perry looks fine but can see some are going to overhype him to the point they want him to start against Hull

we should be looking to get him out on loan to L2/NL ASAP

To be fair we’re being pressed within an inch of our lives by a champions league outfit in only our second friendly here. Was always gunna be s tough outing. But yeah simms is still poor and really needs to be moved on

Not a bad half played ok put some good passes and moves together. Still think sometimes we look for a pass too early when we could run and drive with the ball more.

defence still a concern not impressed with Thomas or KKH for either goal but it’s a friendly at the end of the day. Fitness wise they look good not lack of effort or pace. Agree Brau prob needs to bulk up for championship but don’t think he was bought in as a starter anyway.

Think Da silva was bright again finishing how he left off last season.

Yes brau playing out position - but looks light weight currently - which is fine, just we may need to be patient with him to settle.

I thought simms did a lot better in holding the ball up and laying it off than he has previously. Problem is he doesn't then spin and run down the middle he just stands and admires the fact he hasn't lost the ball

True enough, however he’s got to have impressed somewhat to have been given a chance today. Agreed he needs a loan, if he can look good in L2 at 19 at CB then we know we’ve got a talent.

Ideally you'd want him to go to L1.

And by “come through” I mean get us all excited for two years, make 300 mins total appearances then be released to play for Forest Green.

Thought the same, his hold up play there was actually very decent. He was poor but also isolated and didn’t get much to work with.

I'd rather him play guaranteed football in the NL than go out and be a squad player in L1
