Good read. Didn't realise we were up to 2nd in the expected points table, that's mad.

Bringing Kitching back into the fold has gone under the radar. Despite having spent a huge wedge on him MR had essentially written him off, but since returning he’s looked impressive.

Going into Jan a CB looked like a must but bringing Kitching back from the dead has proved to be a masterstroke. Tbh i always liked Kitching, i think he's a good player and he was defo a Robins signing, so it was weird it seemed he was prepared to write off a £4 million CB he actively chased.

Maybe his disciplinary record played a part? Not sure.

I agree with you though, he's a good player.

Always been a huge Kitching fan . Think only a slight lack of pace stops him being a premier league defender . I said when we were rumoured to be loaning him out that we would end up regretting it .
I see him as a captain in the long term and hope we can tie him down to a contract extension in the near future.

I’m definitely a bit anxious about whether this good form can continue when we inevitably switch to 4ATB. But if you’re going to make that switch then you may as well do it with momentum on your side, with key players coming back into fitness, and the option of playing two good holding midfielders in Grimes and Sheaf together if you need to shore things up.

He had multiple bone-headed moments last season that made him look a complete liability. Getting sent off multiple times, giving away penalties etc.

We had our best run by far when him and Thomas were the 2 in our back 4. That said he looks even better now imo and i'm keen to see what him and Thomas look like in a 4 again.
