Firstly let me say TM is as good a manager as could be expected, if he fails to prevent relegation I will very surprised.

He made some interesting comments the other day..

On the short term of his contract.
“It gives me a chance to see how the club works and functions and it gives them a chance to see how I work,” he said.

I believe this means both parties are on trial periods here.

On the 'owner' or Joy Sepalla
“What I feel I need to do is light the touchpaper of the owner and if she’s excited about this football club and excited about watching the team and seeing the supporters coming back...

“In my mind, once owners get excited they are happy to invest and support to see how far you can take it.

“I’ll not be banging doors down telling her I need this and that but ultimately, when that touchpaper gets lit in her belly and wants to go to the match, then you go and say ‘I need a central midfielder,’ they can’t do enough to help you.

“No-one throws money away without seeing the rewards. What I would ask her is about the scouting system and making sure that’s put in place.

“Having had teams play at the Ricoh and knowing it’s an occasion to come here with a good number of people in it and hopefully we can ignite the passion of the supporters who are not coming.

Is this not laying it on the line that some investment is needed to achieve promotion and I would hazard a guess has to be budgeted before his contract is extended. He also takes a swipe at the scouting system (or lack of one).

Fair play to him for asking the owners for things like that.. we have had far to many yes men at this football club its time things changed and i hope mowbray does that !

I've heard Tony Mobray mention a couple of times that he wants to get the supporters back. I'm starting to think this is a bigger issue for Sisu then they'd like to make out.

As a club we have had all our assets milked dry. The only thing Sisu have left as an asset is really the money the supporters make for them. If support keeps dropping it may be that Sisu need to sell to give them the best the return on their investment, assuming they won't buy assets for the club like players or even dare I say it a stadium.

You see if they aren't willing to spend on assets then they have to hope we as a club still do well and we the fans generate cash. Otherwise the value of CCFC drops

Great appointment a proper football manager and we couldn't have done better I reckon.
But to be as successful as he was at W.B.A. he will need to keep hold of players he likes and add where neccesary or even though I feel he'll keep us up he'll be off as he doesn't look the sort to be messed about.
