Hmmm. Is this the son who repeatedly advised MM to stop putting cash into CCFC? Dont have a problem with this, we were hardly a good investment at the time.
MM made no secret of the fact we needed attendances of 23k plus to break even. So likely he was bankrolling the shortfall.
So it's hard to see how or why he would put more of his cash independently into SISU.
They were both Albion fans (and investors), if I remember rightly?

Don't know about SISU but didn't he have to pay something to ACL along with GR? Something to do with being guarantors for the lease the club had with ACL so when the club went on rent strike and Ltd went into administration they became liable to pay ACL some moneys. Are you sure that you didn't mishear and he was talking about that in the context that he had to pay money out because of SISU's actions?

It was the account of 500k in the escrow account wasn't it?

Is this the son whose company managed to get Highfield road for £1 Mill and rent it back to us for £1mill a year? No wonder we were in a mess and nobody was in a rush to move to the Ricoh.

Yes MM had a kitchen company whilst on the board at west brom. Bert Millichip was also on the west brom board at the time and was involved in the aftermath of the taylor report where all seater stadia were recommended. MM set up a seating company and secured a decent FA contract. All pretty above board I'd say.

He tried his best though, eastwoodsdustman. Like SISU presumably were twenty trying their best.

There's much to have a go at the former directors about. However, Highfield Road was sold to McLean homes (a division of Taylor Wimpey).

Not directly. It was eventually sold to them presumably at profit to the middle man. Isn't that why the buy back option existed?

Are you saying there's a middle ground between this? http://www.thefreelibrary.com/HIGHF...+Club+leases+stadium+back+until...-a065930894

I wouldn't see anything sinister in a buy-back, it seems entirely sensible (unique for that board?) to have a fallback option.

Shame they chose not to use it...

Is he getting confused with the money ACL claimed? Think SISU's involvement was that they claimed is ACL were claiming it of BR & MM then they couldn't also claim that SISU owed it to them.

Yes the Pel seating accusations were things he got very sensitive about.
