For those who are thinking of traveling by train, think again as the network will be down for work. Buses will be laid on so travel time will take 3 times as long

That will dramatically lower the following. The reason we take so many is because its easier to get to MK Dons away on the train than it was to get to the Ricoh.

No disruption suggested on either Virginin or West Mids rail site.

The two train companies that use the line show West Midland trains (nothing listed for Coventry/Milton Keynes) Virgin trains there is an issue but in the evening and many miles away

Engineering work is taking place between Warrington Bank Quay and Wigan North Western on Saturday evening, closing all lines.

West Midlands Railway (No works planned for Coventry/ Milton Keynes)
  • Amended 23:18 Birmingham New Street to Hednesford service from Monday 14 to Thursday 17 October
  • Buses replace trains between Barnt Green and Redditch on Sunday 20 October
  • Amended midweek late night Northern service from Monday 21 to Thursday 24 October
  • Buses replace trains between Barnt Green and Redditch on Sunday 27 October

Looks like a very mischievous post - I see it was posted as a 'Transfer Rumour', so unless the OP comes up with something to back it up I think this should be closed.

I work on the Railway - and have checked - nothing planned for that day to affect the sky blue army - as13 is a milton keynes troll!

I got 6 tickets because I wasn't sure if the first 3 was gonna come on time so I had to give them to some Watford supporting friends who were around and told them to wear sky blue!
