Cant see the issue myself, if we got to Wembley I wouldnt want a Man Utd / Villa / Huddersfield Fan being our mascot? In fact in any game.

Agree. And what a stupid idea to pick the lad. Surely they knew he wasn't a Reading fan.

The actual story should be who's stupid idea this was in the first place.

Why have mascots anyway? What purpose do they serve?

I'm guessing this ridiculous Idea Of having a draw that can lead to a non supporter of the Clubs Involved In a Wembley appearance Is FA sponsored
What a Stupid Idea>

What about an actual Reading fans dream of leading out the team at Wembley!

Totally agree he doesn't support the team so he can't be the mascot, he is lucky to get the England gig I would have offered him the chance to do a Huddersfield game or nothing.

I was a mascot in the 80's it was ok but I slipped on the pitch and missed the only goal of the game getting changed!

Young tho he may be, he's clearly (?) aware of the Herbert Chapman link. It amused me the way in which Alan, Ryan's 'legal guardian', denounced the football 'loudmouths'!
